How does google adsense compute your CPM? For me its ranged from $0.01 / CPM to $0.07 / CPM...I read their FAQ's but still don't quite understand why some times its $0.01 and other days its higher...

because they can do what they want, when they want, and you won't say shit about it

All Adsense ever tells me is that no one clicks my ads.

I get ~$8.00 eCPM, with ~ 2% CTR on 20k-30k impressions per week. They dont just give you an average "eCPM" rate, but rather the eCPM they show you is the actual average price per 1k page views that your pages produce. They give you some x percentage of revenue from the ads that appear on your pages, and then use that to determine the price per thousand. My pages all perform differently ... some pages in site x give me 13.00 eCPM, and other pages give me as low as $3 eCPM (just using pages with decent traffic profiles). So, the better question that you should maybe ask, is ... how does google determine the price per click that they pay me, since they dont pay per impression generally, but the majority of your payments come from clickthroughs...[Edited on November 24, 2009 at 8:19 AM. Considering that my site generates about zero CPM I could care less about my CPM rate.
