I never realized that there was a such thing as Canadian cuisineI thought all they had was Labatt's and hockey

'Poutine' sounds like it includes vagina.

You'll be hard pressed to find poutine anywhere outside of Canada, although some areas in the northeast and southwest have a variant on it. Nowhere around here, though.I am looking forward to eating poutine in Montreal.

mmm i would totally eat that poutine. maybe minus the curds.
11/17/2009 8:51:39 PM
Clearly I was wrong above because Milltown does in fact serve it.Was at the Backyard Bistro recently though and they definitely did not have it then.

I didn't even know what it was, I don't think they even called it Poutine on their menu (may be wrong about that, I was fucking BLITZED), but it was clearly marked as Fries + Gravy + Cheese curd and I was like "FUCK MOTHERFUCKER, YES"
11/17/2009 9:13:47 PM
i have to think that backyard bistro has poutine like applebee's has ribs
11/17/2009 10:11:27 PM
That is probably true.

Don't know about the poutine specifically, but Milltown's fries are first-rate. With them as a foundation it ought to be damn good.
