I believe those of us in the Charlotte area get the game on local coverage, but I'm not 100% sure about that.

I don't feel good about our D vs this rushing attack

30-24 dolphins

If D Williams gets injured in the first half and you lose, then Miami is CLEARLY the better team.

Untrue.

However anyone who says that him getting injured absolutely cost us the game is also a fucking moron.

Why would you even bring up injuries to key players of the team the Panthers are playing? Everyone knows that key players being injured has ZERO impact on the game if the Panthers are playing them. I mean it's common fucking sense.

Hell, I'm starting to believe when the best players are injured on the team the Panthers are playing they become nearly unstoppable.

You guys have convinced me with impeccable logic that injuries to key players doesn't effect the outcome of the game the Panthers are playing in.

http://www.ajc.com/sports/atlanta-falcons/turner-s-injury-could-199004.html

Quote :
"CHARLOTTE – An extended loss of running back Michael Turner could handicap the Falcons in their bid for a second consecutive playoff trip.

Turner was turning in another stellar effort before suffering a sprained right ankle. The injury was severe enough for him not to return to the game."

Can you hardly believe these STUPID ASSHOLES from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution? WHO THE HELL DO THEY THINK THEY ARE to claim Turner being injured will hurt the team? They have Snelling, who "didn't do poorly" yesterday.

^ yeah right, I made you look like complete fools and exposed your bias of being a Panther's fan to claim injuries didn't hurt the Falcons. Of course you "don't care" about looking like a fool because you are a fool.

dolphins are near the bottom in the league for pass defense, but toward the top on rushing defense w.r.t. yds/game ~98

they have, however, allowed 10 rushing TDs so I expect DT to get at least a couple between them

Don

Shut the fuck up.

You started with absolutes about how Carolina would have absolutely lost if Turner had stayed in.

Now you've backpedaled to say that star players have an impact on games.

You're acting like a little fucking pussy who just wants to be right in some small way even though what you said originally was completely stupid.

Give it a rest.

lol @ don, injuries are not an excuse, do you see panther fans going around talking about how their best blocker in hoover is out, along with jordan gross going down yesterday, the best 2 big dts, the best defensive player this season, so stfu and take your loss like a man.

I am 100% certain that people in Charlotte can watch the game on TWC...I believe its on channel 220 in Charlotte (NBC-HD)

So Gross isn't playing? Oh well, it won't matter. A Pro Bowl left tackle isn't really an important position, is it? I just know its not a skill position like running back. Losing a Pro Bowl Left Tackle shouldn't really affect the outcome, right Don Beebe? I'm glad the Panthers don't have any important injuries, and injuries only affect other teams. Hey is Maake playing? How about TD? Hoover?

We probably would've beaten the Saints last weekend if Moose had played.

I'm not even sure what you are trying to argue? Gross injury is equivalent to Turner going out after Turner was averaging 11 yards per carry?

No I'm arguing injuries are part of the game, you can say the same thing about Thomas Davis being out. Believe me, Turner wouldnt average that many yards a game with TD in the game. You play with the guys you have. Your team lost, stop being a crybaby

Don Beebe how do you explain that with Turner the score was 21-10
Its when turner left that the Falcons started to move the ball, so turner actually hurt them.

Gross is the most important lineman on the team that led the NFL in rushing yards last year

He's pretty important

Do you remember how ineffective Sean Alexander was after the Seahawks lost Walter Jones to injury a few years back?

Instead of blaming the Falcons loss on Turner's injury, why don't you look at QB play? Specifically Ryan's two interceptions to Delhomme's zero interceptions. And yeah you can say they were forced to play a different style of football with Turner out and throw more often. I could say theres no excuse for Stewart's 45 yard touchdown run. By the way, it was off left tackle, behind a 2nd string LT.

you've got to be trolling me. 9 carries, 111 yards was "hurting" the Falcons? I'll let this one slide.

as far as i know, the Falcons thread wasn't deleted or locked

Brown done for the year, so I'm guessing Pat White takes over as Wildcat QB. Scares me a little with his throwing/running ability ... I'm thinking a vengeful Henning might try to throw everything he's got at us.

We need Landon Johnson (or whoever starts at WLB) to not suck tonight

^^just a technicality, but White won't be the "Wildcat QB"

When they run the Wildcat with Brown or Williams taking snaps, Henne is lined up as a receiver...when White is in at QB taking snaps, he is the only QB on the field...they call it the Wildpat

just sharing something I learned from the Dolphins announcer this morning

I hope losing Gross doesn't kill our momentum running the ball. We don't want to give Jake a reason to throw.
