11/15/2009 12:47:21 PM
Quinn, I would be interested to see what would happen if you bolted my exact turbo to your motor (if it could be made to fit). I wonder if it would even get into boost by redline. Although that class of compressor has definitely been used successfully on Hondas, the exhaust housing is really big for a 1.6 liter 4 cylinder.

my pics at: http://forums.evolutionm.net/7713892-post2.htmlthis blue one was sick:

^i think both pretty much ran low 10s to high 9s.
11/15/2009 10:12:45 PM
How was the shootout? I totally forgot that evom.net existed I used to post on there a lot back when I first got my evo.
11/15/2009 10:35:27 PM
^^^^ I used to like pictures like that, now they just look so unrealistic that I immediately think "loser who photoshops pics with a pirated copy of PS"
11/15/2009 10:39:58 PM
^I don't think thats photoshopped. I can tell by the pixels.also...is that a chute canister on the back of that evo, lol.[Edited on November 15, 2009 at 10:42 PM. Reason : .]
11/15/2009 10:41:44 PM
A parachute wouldnt do much fucking good in a cannister would it?
11/15/2009 10:45:49 PM
I suppose that would be the point of a release button so, you know...you can still accelerate without a giant parachute dragging behind you
11/15/2009 10:48:29 PM
11/16/2009 12:36:00 AM
I don't have a turbine map for the P trim turbine wheel on my turbo, closest I could find is the GT40 wheel which is 1 mm largerblue line would be closest[Edited on November 16, 2009 at 9:40 AM. Reason : turbine map]

11/17/2009 1:07:36 PM
I'm getting ready to hit 28k on her, if it was gonna break I guess it would have broken already. I'd be lying if i didn't say i've got a few bolt ons in mind.btw, updated my post with liek 20 new pics: http://forums.evolutionm.net/7713892-post2.html
11/17/2009 4:49:49 PM
I'm at 77,000 miles...and the only thing i'm having to swap out is my cat this week.also still stock for life
11/17/2009 4:58:31 PM
^^ I bet you beat me to 30k.
11/17/2009 4:59:17 PM
11/17/2009 5:52:31 PM
^^ you can't possibly be on the stock clutch, right?
11/17/2009 5:54:43 PM
^stock clutch, stock everything. Haven't replaced anything except tires, brake pads, oil, fluids etc...
11/17/2009 5:55:47 PM
HIS CARROTS INDICATE HE WAS TALKING TO ME[Edited on November 17, 2009 at 5:59 PM. Reason : I am still on my stock clutch.]
11/17/2009 5:59:29 PM
I forgot you existed so I assumed they were to me. Plus why would anyone need to replace a stock clutch with less than 30,000 miles...so again...assumed it was to me.
11/17/2009 6:01:43 PM
that datsun was bad bro
11/17/2009 6:12:39 PM
^^ I think my Evo's clutch died in the low 20k range...maybe mid 20k. Well below 30k, at any rate.
11/17/2009 6:47:59 PM
^^^^^^ 290 hp (crank), 224 lb-ft, stock 3.2L, 6 speedthat's all I gotstill good enough for a ~13.2 sec 1/4 mile pass with sub 5 sec 0-60mph timesi didn't buy it for big hp numbers anyway, it's exactly what i want.
11/18/2009 1:17:42 AM
^^ couldn't be from 6k plus launches could it?
11/20/2009 8:16:37 AM
I actually only launched it hard a few times (a few being like 2, 3, maybe 4)...and even then, they weren't balls-out 6k+ launches.
11/20/2009 9:34:57 AM
you must have been doing something...I'm still riding at 77k on a stock clutch *touch wood*
11/20/2009 10:30:04 AM
Well, I lived on an island in northwestern WA with ton of curvy backroads (to include my commute to work every day), and I drove it pretty hard.I also heel/toe during braking or downshift to decelerate a lot, but I match always match revs, so there isn't much clutch slippage.and either way, I haven't had similar issues with other vehicles. Even my supercharged S2000, which BARELY had enough clutch (with the stock unit...you could feel the clutch slip for a second or two when you made a hard shift at redline) to handle the increased power (or more correctly, torque), was still on the stock clutch when I sold it at 75k miles.
11/20/2009 10:39:04 AM
I, too, drive hard pretty much all the time and always...
11/20/2009 11:18:37 AM
11/20/2009 4:25:36 PM
well aren't you the bees knees
11/23/2009 7:36:55 AM
