a couple of trips to the county recycling center got me thinking about lightening up since I don't have money to add power at this time..

These weights are without me in them and extremely low on fuel:

Subaru 2575
Acura 3160
4runner 3550
==========
Total 9285 lbs.

not too bad for 3 vehicles

How much do yours weigh?

Marauder is just under 4200 and Malibu is somewhere in the vicinity of 3300 (don't feel like looking it up...) So I'm running about 7500.

I think my Sentra is ~3200 or so and my Ninja is ~450.

Fuck you niggers, I'm <4000lbs.

ehhh, 45-50k roughly?

^^^^yeah, as long as it's not busy they usually don't mind you riding across the scales. worst case, just tell them you've got a parts car of the same make/model you're planning to bring and you want to get an idea of what it's going to pay.

the landfill on durant and the yard waste center on new hope used to let you do it on theirs also, but someone told me that they stopped allowing it unless you were disposing of stuff. it's been a few years since i've been to either location personally, though. probably depends on the person working at the time...

not sure, i'd guess maybe 15k or so? i don't own it anymore though, blackJak71 does. i replaced it like a year and a half ago with a toterhome that's based on an international 4700 chassis. it's probably pushing 30k+.

[Edited on November 9, 2009 at 1:15 AM. Reason : actually, the more i think about it my total number is probably closer to 55-60k... ]

97 Q45 3879 lbs for the listed curb weight

88 Rx7 2800ish lbs I think. It weighed 2780 with a full thank of gas when I weighed it a couple years ago, but since then I've put on heavier wheels.

So let's say 6679 then. As for power, the Q is rated at 267 crank horse for that year and the Rx-7 is well... I don't know.

do the scales on durant still work even though its closed up?

the holly springs location has scales, but only the worker can see them, so you def have to ask nicely there.

RMR on garner road in the hood has 3 scales.. you could go there.

i need to find a set of race car scales to borrow, i would like to corner-weight my shit

I know, TKE-Teg. It is a thing of beauty.

Nissan said to themselves "sure, we can skimp on everything from heated seats, to cylinders, to speakers; but why?"

And 'lo, a great convertible was born.
