why do you need a king size bed?and

Our king sized sleigh bed came from Ashley Furniture. I don't remember how much we paid for it because we ordered *alot* of furniture at once time. However, the bed is sturdy and looks fantastic.

^annoying, there's no bounce so you have to work a lot harder

if you're anywhere near Charlotte, there's a Rooms To Go discount warehouse up there.a lot of times, they'll have brand new furniture with just a knick on the finish... reduced. you might want to check there.

its not that i NEED a king, but i already have one. i'll look for warehouses around raleigh, or maybe floor models...ill check out ashley furniture...i like their style from what ive seen

home comfort had some sleigh beds last time i was in there. just drive down glenwood between crabtree and fred anderson toyota one afternoon and stop at one of the ~10 furniture stores and you should find something you like.

i know this sounds ghetto but i got one from big lots and it is super nice.im sure it is made in korea or some shit

there are @15 furniture stores on glennwood down just before 540. As in if you just drive from crabtree to 540, you'll get tired of stopping after a while. I'm pretty sure most of them sell beds, but can't promise sleigh beds.

yep

I would also suggest ashley furniture. I used to work there and they generally have the best prices and better furniture than rooms to go as we were required to shop the competition.

sorry, I use @ to mean about or approx. in shorthand. don't think about it sometimes.

http://www.ethanallen.com/product?productId=1459&categoryId=8028You could get this bed for ~$2k.

Got one of these for $299 (queen) at Ashley and I think the king was $399. The thing about Ashley though is that they don't stock the furniture, so you have to wait for them to make it and deliver it, so it's not like you pay the money and drive off with it in the back of your truck. They charge a delivery fee too and if I'm not mistaken it's the same fee for anything less than $1k, not really ideal for buying 1 or more pieces of relatively cheap furniture. On the plus side, the delivery people are professional and with items like sleigh beds, they take it up to the room you want and disassemble your old stuff, assemble the new one, and set it all up where you want it and everything (atleast in my few experiences with them over the past year).

I got mine at Bassett and while I'm sure it was overpriced the last couple of months have them sending my fliers advertising 40% off at times. I'll have to remember to send you the next one.

FYI, Ashley is lower-end furniture. Good price, but you get what you pay for. I'm not trying to say don't get anything from Ashley, just know what you're getting. Are you definitely looking for a sleigh bed, or just a bed with a footboard? I ask because the original pic you posted is a sleigh bed, but doesn't have a lot of curve to it. So I wasn't sure how sold you were on the sleigh bed style.[Edited on November 9, 2009 at 10:28 AM.
