Anybody ever been to Brazil? Specifically Salvador, Bahia area.

Visiting my girls parents for Christmas/New Years and just curious.

I have been to Brazil, but not to Bahia...I do want to go to that area next time I am down that way. I did a study abroad in Juiz de Fora for 7 months...absolutely awesome.

Salvador is the fucking shit. I loved it there. We did an islands cruise one day on a boat that hopped around to islands in the bay. you'd swim into shore and go drinking at bars on sandy beaches. there was great nightlife there from clubs to dive bars with local bands. really can't say enough good stuff about salvador.
