Need a cage, right?
10/27/2009 7:23:55 PM
nope, need a daily driver with street tires, working seat belts and stock suspension most you'll be doing is 45 or 50 mph, and that's only in short spurtsa cage is nice, but not a requirement

Is trailering the car in OK? I'm not putting tags on this thing.I've also got sheet metal covering the radiator. Any problem there?Car is missing a few fenders now(damn trees jumping out in front of me) and has no muffler but is otherwise stock.

what about an SUV? i see nothing in the rules that says only cars can compete??

^^ from what i know, as long as the wheel bearings / tie rods / ball joints dont allow the wheels too much play, i.e grab the tire at 3 and 9 and check for play, then also at 6 and 12 and check for play, you should be goodalso, the battery tie down has to be sturdy, and no blatant visible leaksthat's pretty much all that is needed to pass a tech inspection **from what i've seen**^ SUV's are allowed from what I've been told, but I've never seen one at a rallyX beforeI can put you in touch with the RallyX President and VP to know for sure, if you're seriouslet me know, i'd be happy to help the more the merrier

Well, my back tires have so much negative camber that they scrub the shock towers. Too many jumps.

slick as snot out there, especially on worn out street tiresi was first in the AWD street tire class after the morning session, 5th overall.. but i missed a gate in the afternoon session and got a 55 second penalty, which knocked me out of trophy contentionHowever, Kourosh and I both wrapped up 2nd place finishes in the season points in our respective classes. He's running rally tires and I was running street tires, both on 2.5RS's This is Kourosh racing, you can see my car in the background, green with gold wheels[Edited on November 23, 2009 at 4:27 PM.
