my dad told me I should get the flu shot after he went and got it. I told him they really do no good and sometimes more harm can come than doesn't. He said he would laugh at me when I got the flu and he did have it. A week later he had the flu and I didn't.

since not many people have gotten the h1n1 flu shot, you can get the seasonal one and still get h1n1. It would suck for you "no flu shot ever" crowd to come down with both, actually, it wouldnt

I've never gotten the flu shot....and I've only had a "possible" case of the flu once. I just make sure I wash my hands, sneeze into my elbow, if I touch someone else I'm not going to instantly rub my face. There are ways you can avoid the flu (while it's not 100% it's very effective) without getting the shot.

I worked at a summer camp where pink eye traveled around like AIDS in africa, never once did I get it.

This kind of shit blows my mind. My question is if, generally speaking, flu vaccines contain weaker strands of the virus, was she at the same risk of receiving the same debilitating disorder if she were to obtain the virus naturally? Or is it triggered by something unrelated to the virus within the vaccine itself.

I'm gonna guess that my severely limited knowledge of the subject lead me to form an incorrect postulate that further illustrates my aforementioned severely limited knowledge of the subject and chalk this whole thing up to a hypothetical question.
