Anyone got any ideas on what could be causing this? Not noticeable until about 25-30 mph then around 45 the thump is so rapid it's not discernible. Can the collective power of the garage give me an idea what's going wrong with my car?

When diving my car, it feels like I have a flat tire, but none of them are flat. Makes noise like and feels like I have a flat, but all of the tires are inflated.Just started last night. Not sure what else I'm forgetting to describe about it. I can answer questions if that helps narrow it down.

you sure you know what a flat feels like???????????[Edited on October 15, 2009 at 10:25 PM. Reason : maybe you are thinking of a slack tire? flat is pretty obvious- feels like riding on a square wheel.]

Definitely know what a flat feels like. I can still steer, so yea it's not quite a flat, but feels similar. It's bad enough to make me pull over and look for the flat one and not find one.

bad bearing or caliper?

Sounds like a busted belt.

Which belt would be busted?
10/15/2009 10:43:20 PM
there is a steel belt inside the tire. the belts have seperated more than likelyhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If5t783NZFY[Edited on October 15, 2009 at 10:49 PM. Reason : belt like this. not like a drive belt]

Is there any way to tell from looking at the outside of the tires which one is bad? The tread on the outside seems to be fine.

with a busted belt you'll see a bulge on the tread[Edited on October 15, 2009 at 11:10 PM. Reason : check them and then roll it forward a little to make sure it's not in the tire patch at the time]

or tou might have some sever cupping going oncould be a strut too[Edited on October 15, 2009 at 11:11 PM. Reason : could be]

or a lopsided wheel...sounds like the wheel isnt moving in a complete circle and seems to be offset somehowcheck your lugnutts make sure they are all tight.your front end could just be horribly out of line as well.

go down to any junkyard. you can get a matching wheel+tire for $10. problem solved.
