I need some golf discs to cut in half for a cross section. I'll pay $1 a disc. Alternative payments in coffee can be arranged.

Just go grab them off the course in mid play.

I would fucking kill if somebody did that to me.

do they have to be good quality???http://www.centurynovelty.com/detail_65_146-1147.html?mr:trackingCode=0D60C3CA-FA81-DE11-B712-001422107090&mr:referralID=NA

They do not have to be good quality. I do want to end up with two different each of drivers, midrange and putters.

Why are you doing this?
10/10/2009 11:35:34 PM
I have a bag of some crappy DX ones I pulled out of the pond in Cedar Hills, but I use them as backups or when my friends that have never played before come. What are you doing with them? Maybe I'll reconsider if I support this cause...

Research project for airfoil theory. I'll run cross sections through a computer program to see how the lift works, and try to compare that with the flight profile of the disc.

Beat-ass discs are gonna fly much differently than their profile would suggestProject complete

^srsly, I'm by no means a badass at the links, but I've witnessed my fair share of disc flight pattern evolutionoh, and nobody would care, but:"It's a 4 FADE duuuuude" [star teeRex wailing off into the woods @ Kentwood]

I know flight profile changes with age. Maybe that'll be a later project. I'm not throwing these, I'm cutting them in half for a cross section.
10/21/2009 10:32:46 AM
You can pick some up tomorrow from me. Since they're crappy DX's they're flying pattern has definitely "changed". Poor things have hit more trees than lumberjacks. How many do you need?

stick with the STAR plastic = little/no flight pattern change.unless you're seriously fucking some shit up with your disc, or running it over constantly with your vehicle. (or just throwing it into the street on hole 2)

My first time there, I parked at that end of the parking lot. I had a disk-smudge on my windshield when I finished playing.

starfire is the best disc evar.
10/22/2009 3:21:56 AM
Still lookin'. I'll take discs that don't fly, or are not whole, whatever. I need to be able to get one good cross-section radius from the remnants.

You should post up in the Buy/Sell/Trade section on http://www.discgolfreview.com/forums there are a handful of raleigh people on there. Let them know it is for a project, and I would bet you find some interest.

Awesome, I wish I could help, but I'm too attached to the 50+ I have (Don't judge me)
