I need recommendations for a QWERTY phone on Verizon. Had a chance to play with an LG enV Touch last night & didn't hate it.

The samsung rogue (glyde replacement) has gotten decent reviews.

Smartphones may be a bit more $TX that I'd like to keep running but they'll be consideredthanks everyone!

It really isn't too much difference($10-20). The Rogue requires a $9.99(25MB) or 19.99(75MB) data package while you can opt for one of those packages or just pay per MB with the env touch. And afaik, the touch pro 2 still isn't in stock at any Verizon stores so you'd be taking a shot in the dark. Supposed to be a good phone though and Windows Mobile 6.5 is nearing release. Most of my coworkers at the VZW store have the EnV Touch and really like it. If I wasn't a smartphone junkie, I'd be all over it. Instead I'm still rocking the old HTC Athena.

Cost per MB just sounds very '90s

I'd have to cut down on browsing if I had one of those. I'm over 100MB on my storm and still have a little under 2 weeks to go.

Are you stuck on Verizon? Sprint has treated me pretty well so far, I have the $69.99 plan for unlimited text, data and 450 minutes. They also just came out with any mobile to mobile doesn't count against your minutes, they have the Pre and BlackBerry phones that have a QWERTY keyboard...

on a smartphone? otherwise you have it discounted. 59.99(450min+unlimited text)+29.99 for unlimited data= 79.99. And that's not true unlimited mobile to mobile and navigation, etc is extra on verizon.

I'm holding up my 1/5 of our Verizon family plan, which used to be an Alltel plan. We're about to upgrade plans, so we're eligible for new phones, so I figured why not a palmtop?
