how do they come up with the efficiency rating?
10/1/2009 6:49:32 AM
It's a 17th degree polynomial hash created by the Lord Jesus Christ, a famous statistician.

He's #2 in TD passes behind the texas tech guy.

i remember one time one of our post rivers qbs was in the top 10
10/1/2009 9:39:55 AM
The titles of these threads always make me want to punch the guy who made them.
10/1/2009 9:41:18 AM
Yates at 66? There is no way he rates better than Thad Lewis. Lewis is the 2nd best QB in the ACC IMO with what he has to work with.Jonathan Crompton must have a negative QB rating.....
10/1/2009 3:14:12 PM
The GT guy doesn't even attempt enough passes to qualify.
10/1/2009 3:19:38 PM
does anyone know why the nfl and ncaa use different passer rating systems?
10/1/2009 4:01:51 PM
I would suspect that it's because the NFL expects more out of their players since they are professionals. A perfect NFL rating of 158.3 would only be slightly above average for a college player.

i can see wake putting up 27 points if our d-fence doesn't show up with their A- or better game.let's just hope RW has one more week of 4+ TD's from the air in him
10/1/2009 4:42:17 PM
Lewis is definitely a good QB. To me, he's a poor man's RW -- good mobilty, strong arm, can make things happen when shit breaks down. I'd personally rank the QB's1. Wilson2. Skinner3. Harris4. Harris5. PonderReally though, 2-5 are interchangible based on who's having a good game and who's having an off game.

^no, since Russell is so humble and since he IS the Lord, he couldn't make himself #1......therefore he put himself at #8 to show his humbleness
10/1/2009 5:37:48 PM
Crompton is #91.This measuring system is shit. No way there are only 90 better QBs in the country than that piece of shit
10/1/2009 6:38:57 PM
more like nesbitt is a poor man's RW.

You guys can't tell me you really think Jacory Harris is better than Thad Lewis? If you switch them out, Miami becomes even better.Duke is still terrible....he's all they got.
10/2/2009 12:01:43 AM
lewis isn't even the best qb on his awful team.
10/2/2009 12:05:43 AM
You are crazy and a troll. You base you're opinion on the playing time he got against fucking Army? That would be like if Glennon came in and dominanted against Murray State and we said damn Glennon is better than Wilson. [Edited on October 2, 2009 at 12:27 AM. Reason : ]
10/2/2009 12:07:22 AM
Which wouldn't be far fetched considering everyone already knows Glennon has more pro potential than Wilson and we're just waiting to see it on the field before making that declaration. As a matter of fact, TOB put Glennon into the game when Wilson was struggling. Very bad analogy for your cause.
10/2/2009 12:39:47 AM
Jesus tittyfucking Christ you are a bad troll.Of course Glennon has more pro potential look at him. Cannon armed almost 6'7".NO ONE would argue that he is better than RW right now. Just fucking stop.
10/2/2009 1:34:19 AM
^^i am progressively getting more and more annoyed with your Sports Talk posts
10/2/2009 8:05:58 AM
No one has argued he is better right now. Read the post and notice the context. It was analogous to the Duke situation. All we need is Glennon to come in and light it up for the debate to begin. Reading comprehension, get some.
10/2/2009 8:36:26 AM

fact of the matter is its debatable if he's the best on his team and you really want to say hes better than jacory freaking harris? unreal.

Thaddeus Lewis 2009 stats: 72/123 58.5% 6.37ypa 5 TD 2 INTSean Renfree 2009 stats: 29/43 67.4% 6.65ypa 4 TD 1 INTONE GAME!!111!!!it's not out of the question to think that Renfree could be a better qb than Lewis. He probably isn't (right now), and this is just a small sample size but really...it's not like Lewis is a great QB. He was just considered one of the better ACC QBs because most ACC QBs sucked
10/2/2009 3:48:10 PM
10/2/2009 3:59:08 PM
Cutcliffe recruits pocket passers...regardless of whether or not Lewis is the best QB on the team, he doesn't fit the style of offense that Cutcliffe wants to run
10/2/2009 4:39:32 PM
RW fell to 23, but its tied with Toledo QB for most TDs in the nation with 14
10/4/2009 4:15:19 PM
So tower and troll friends, do you still think Thad Lewis isn't that good?I mean he threw for only 453 yards against us.
10/12/2009 1:33:23 PM
throwing for 453 yards against us isnt quite the accomplishment it would seem. chris crane threw for 428 yards against us last yeari have a hard time using games QBs play against teams i root for in any sort of evaluation of them. matt ryan looked very average every time he played nc state, meanwhile christian ponder looked like a greek god. i seem to remember greg paulus lighting up the ncsu basketball team a few times as welli will say lewis played very well and could not have been much better on saturday, at least. he moved from like 3-4 on my list of ACC qbs to #2. and it's not out of the question that he could be the best this yeari still dont think that makes him a great qb, depending on what your definition of great is. wasnt there some internet site that ranked the ACC and SEC QBs before the season and the only guy from the ACC in the top 12 was RW?
10/12/2009 2:16:35 PM
10/12/2009 2:22:23 PM
well yea, and i wasnt totally disputing that from the startthe acc is just bad. look at the guys you throw in there as "good" qbs- wilson- lewis- skinner (gimmick offense where 80% of his throws are 5 yards or less)- harris- taylor (gimmick QB where 80% of his production is from running)- ponder?even when lewis shred us this weekend most of his passes were of the wake forest variety because our defense simply cannot defend that. granted, he made more difficult passes than skinner did (the only hard pass skinner made was the winning TD) yesterday, but nowhere near as many as a good qb should have to - and that's on our defense for sucking. my whole argument is that the qb play is so bad in the ACC that a redshirt freshman could easily be better than one of the better QBs in the conferencewhat's the most sad is that it was worse last year. A redshirt freshman was THE BEST qb
