^^^ Pittsburgh, being such a large metropolitan area, is always on down here because of their fanbase. Metro Pittsburgh is much bigger than Chicago, New York City, Boston, Washington, etc, etc so it stand to reason why there are so many Steelers fans. Nothing to do with fans from Raleigh, Phoenix, Orlando or Saint Louis picking the Steelers as their favorite team after a few Super Bowl wins in the 70s and more recently.
10/4/2009 12:05:38 PM
Damn I'd rather see the Jets/Saints
10/4/2009 12:42:23 PM

11/8/2009 1:20:55 PM
CBS has the doubleheader this week. Only FOX game will be the Panthers at 4:00.
11/8/2009 1:23:02 PM
There is no early game on FOX

11/8/2009 1:49:03 PM
it baffles me that people still don't understand nfl coverage
11/8/2009 1:58:56 PM
hehe, there's really not much to understand, I just don't watch enough to realize which stations have the early games. make you feel any better? Perhaps i'll look at the coverage map FIRST next time? or maybe I'll ask more ignorant questions just to piss you guys off. IDK.
11/8/2009 2:03:10 PM
You're asking questions in a thread that's sole purpose is to provide a link that answers all those questions.I mean c'mon

+10 for directv sunday ticket. you get any game.
9/10/2010 9:03:25 AM
Was hoping I was in that little patch in VA that got the Indy v Houston game, but nope I get NE...Any reason why the Richmond area is the only pocket that gets a different game in the region?
9/10/2010 9:20:39 AM
I just went and checked the maps out of habit, and I was pissed that I didn't get the Indy/Hou game. Then I remembered that I got Sunday ticket for the first time this year. You guys think five TVs will be too much in the living room or should I just use 4.Also, funny side note from the maps: Tampa Bay doesn't even get to watch their own team.
9/10/2010 11:08:26 AM
the question should be, is 5 enough? There should be more lol.
9/10/2010 11:09:15 AM
damn it, I have to watch the Falcons/Steelers game, instead of the Panthers game.
9/10/2010 11:17:35 AM
I wish we could do more than five but we only have 5 DTV boxes. Sucks that only 2 are HD and we only have 1 DVR
9/10/2010 11:36:11 AM
Almost the entire east coast from SC to Maine gets Carolina vs NYG...except for Boston we don't get any early game...why is that?nvm, found this:
9/10/2010 5:34:26 PM
No opposing gamesAnother policy to encourage sellouts, is that no other NFL game can air opposite the local club's broadcast on the primary market's affiliate. If a local club's broadcast is the "early" game of a doubleheader, the other network (which shows the singleheader) may only show a game during the "late" time slot, even if the club is playing away.If a local club's broadcast is the "late" game of a doubleheader, the other network (which shows the singleheader) may only show a game during the "early" time slot, even if the club is playing away.If a local club is playing at home, and the broadcast is shown by the singleheader network, the other network (which shows the doubleheader) may only air one game in that market; either "early" or "late" (the slot which the local club is not playing). If a local club is playing away, and the broadcast is shown by the singleheader network, the other network (which shows the doubleheader) may air both of their games. The no opposing game policy is a key reason why singleheader fixtures on the east coast are occasionally scheduled for the "late" timeslot. This rule does not apply in Week 1 when the US Open is on CBS at 4:30 p.m.. CBS affiliates may broadcast games opposite a team that has a home game on Fox at the same time in Week 1.Each TV market, including one hosting a non-sold-out game, is assured of at least one televised game in the early and late time slots, one game on each network, but no "network doubleheader" in the home marker of a non-sold-out game. The New York and San Francisco Bay area media markets typically get fewer doubleheaders than other markets as each has two teams, and one of them is at home virtually every week. The main exception is when one of the teams is idle, has its home game televised on the doubleheader network, or is chosen for a prime-time game. This policy affects only the club's primary market, not others with signals that penetrate inside the 75-mile radius. It also does not affect viewers of NFL Sunday Ticket in the primary market; all other games remain available.
9/10/2010 5:37:19 PM
The Pats have no trouble selling out. I feel that if the game is sold out then your only option is to watch something on TV.And I wouldn't go to a Pats game anyway unless the Giants or Panthers were playing here, so doing this doesn't encourage me any more to get a ticket. Also, all of New England is in the Patriots market...yet the rest of the region AND western Mass all get to watch the extra fox game. Ugh.
9/10/2010 5:50:16 PM
Fucking Christ man
9/10/2010 5:56:18 PM
I understand it, I'm just saying it isn't right to punish the whole city because they're concerned about selling out.
9/10/2010 6:05:11 PM
DTV FTW
9/10/2010 7:59:46 PM
Why no Puerto Rico?
9/10/2010 8:44:55 PM

BTT looks like Raleigh gets the SD game. 1:00 CBS blows
9/22/2010 11:05:22 AM
I guess that covers the Charlotte market too. It's hard to tell by that map.
9/22/2010 11:17:11 AM
that is strange. i guess p.riv factor?
9/22/2010 12:36:36 PM
P RIV FACTOR IS IN FULL EFFECT
9/22/2010 12:50:10 PM
Weeks like this are when I love the Sunday Ticket. That lineup blows for NC.I'll start the day by flipping between Dallas v. Houston and Atlanta v. New Orleans, then start watching Indy v. Denver, but drop in on Ron Mexico @ Jacksonville (for fantasy football purposes, of course)
9/22/2010 1:08:34 PM
Ugh. I don't want to see Washington/St. Louis. Houston/Dallas or New Orleans/Atlanta PLZ.Fuck Time Warner Cable.
9/22/2010 7:18:50 PM
no, it's fuck either: the local affiliate for picking that game (they have the power to change games) or fuck FOX/CBS for assigning the game to the area
9/22/2010 8:31:00 PM
I think it's fuck TWC because of no Sunday Ticket
9/22/2010 8:35:12 PM
Shit I would just be happy with RedZone.
9/22/2010 8:48:53 PM
