UNC lost almost all of their Offensive playmakers from last year. They thought they would be a top 25 team but they look horrible to mediocre this year. The same effect will happen for NC State and Russell Wilson. Who, in the Pitt game, produced 78% of the total offense with his arm and feet. When Russell Wilson leaves,(when is anyones guess)the only way we dont take a large drop off is if the entire team gets better around Glennon. The Russell Wilson effect is unfortunatly tied to Russell Wilson actually being on our team. But, for now, LETS KEEP ROCKIN![Edited on September 27, 2009 at 10:25 AM. Reason : dc]

Wait. So what you're saying is that when we lose an All-ACC performer; the guy who carries our team game in and game out. That we're going to be worse? Really? What a revelation!Mike Glennon is our Tee Martin! You know it.[Edited on September 27, 2009 at 10:27 AM. Reason : x]

Just dont want anyone thinking our shit doesnt stink. Russell Wilson makes up for a ton of mistakes by our team.

I, too, watch NC State play football.
9/27/2009 11:09:09 AM
I'm just wondering how could you possibly have convinced yourself that it would be a good idea to make this thread?I mean it would be retarded even as just a post in any of the multiple Russel Wilson threads.[Edited on September 27, 2009 at 11:15 AM. Reason : []

OMG NO TEAM SHOULD EVER HAVE GOOD PLAYERZ SO THEY DON'T SUCK WHEN THAT PLAYER LEAVES.
9/27/2009 11:15:21 AM
wait, was UNC good last year?
9/27/2009 11:27:00 AM
way to have a positive outlook. dude, if you believe we'll fail, we'll fail and it seems like too many of us think like that. let's stay grounded, but at least think the best will happen, quit thinking the worst will always happen because it will if you stay in that fucked up mind state."nothing happens if not first we dream" -carl sandberg (often quoted by jimmy v)
9/27/2009 11:53:10 AM
"Hey guys, don't take this the wrong way, but we just might not be quite as good after Rivers leaves"
9/27/2009 11:56:43 AM
lets say hypothetically, we had a great QB before, but then he left and the team took years to get back to that level of sucessso this isnt just part of football then?the way things are going, our next great QB will be wearing #15

BEU needs to stop making threads in sports talk

Stop comparing us to UNC...first problem with this thread....after that the rest of you point is the most negative shit one might read......live the thoughts of a loser and you are one.......
9/27/2009 9:30:04 PM
what is the point in trying to temper expectations for next season (or possibly for the 2012 season if RW stays all 4) with 8 or 9 games left in this season????
9/28/2009 6:48:38 AM
When your formula for % of total offense = QB passing yards + rushing yards / total offensive yards, the majority of QBs have numbers in the 60-70% range that have a similar style offense as us, so im not sure what he was trying to prove with the "78% of total offense" thing. I mean just look at the top 25 teams this weekend and you'll see some QBs with over 80% of their teams total offensive yards using that formula and several over 60 and 70%. Its not unique, and neither is the idea that a good QB has a huge impact on games, and losing them has a negative impact on the program (the size of that impact is obviously based on the rest of the team, the QBs coming in behind them etc.)
9/28/2009 8:05:05 AM
shit, my very first thought after the Pitt game was, "if we didn't have Russell Wilson, we would've lost that game 31-10, easily".
9/28/2009 9:31:26 AM
^ So you were thinking after the game "if we didn't have our best offensive player, we wouldn't have done as well on offense." ?
9/28/2009 10:20:00 AM
I think BEU needs to just shut his trap and just enjoy the fact that our running backs, O-line, receivers, and Russell Wilson came back from a 14 pt. deficit when they could of called it a day and lost. Good teams/coaches prepare for graduations/transfers, etc., how do the other top 25 stay that way..by descent recruiting, and if you dont think Tom O'brien is doing a good job recruiting then you are a damn fool! you need an example...."Ras'hard Hunter" committed after our Pitt win!
9/28/2009 10:36:59 AM
^^hey, dolt--I was implying that if HE weren't the quarterback, we would've gotten blown out. further implying that we are overall a horrid team.
10/12/2009 10:25:47 PM
you know...this situation sounds familiar
10/13/2009 3:39:07 AM
