How about this: NO WAVE, be quiet when we are on offense, and loud as shit on D. The wave is distracting and it was even going while we were driving on uSC in the fourth quarter (correct me if i am wrong). If we do this it should quiet the Pitt media and fans who think our crowd at CF will be not be a factor. http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09267/1000518-142.stmFrom Link:MemphisRed: Love the Chats! Can't wait to see what the Panthers are able to bring to their first big test of the season. Will have the game on the U, but just wondering what will the atmosphere be like on Saturday? Will the crowd be a factor? I know we have not played there since like 1988 so does anyone remember that game around the Post Gazette?Paul Zeise: Well I suppose Bob Smizik might have been there for that game but he is retired, so unfortunately, no. And from what I understand there is a good crowd expected but, perhaps I am wrong about this, when has anyone ever talked about N.C. State being one of the tough or most hostile road venues around? I mean, in that conference we hear a lot about Virginia Tech, Clemson and FSU as being tough places to play, but I don't recall ever hearing much about N.C. State. So I don't think the crowd will be that much of a factor, no more than a normal road game.Read more: http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/09267/1000518-142.stm#ixzz0S9bdmvNBI know Clemson, VT, and FSU traditionally have great turnout and atmosphere, but I think CF is can be hard to travel to and very loud. Lets prove him wrong. Go Pack!

I think we should play "ATLiens" at the end of 3rd/beginning of 4th quarter like Wisconsin does with "Jump Around"Then we can do the wave and it would be badass

I like your second post.
9/25/2009 5:07:25 PM
we need more helicopter defense
9/25/2009 5:08:26 PM
If it rains tomorrow like it's supposed to, there likely won't be enough people at the stadium to convince the Pitt media otherwise about our crowd noise...if that's what we were even trying to do in the first place. Fuck 'em.

I'd be pretty surprised if Pitt wins. We are due for a win since we don't ever seem to and I think we're as good as Pitt and should be rested and ready.

9/25/2009 5:35:59 PM
why are yall still pissed about the wave, that got started in boring ass blowout games... i wouldn't be worried about it
9/25/2009 5:48:38 PM
did you miss the South Carolina game... because that's where it started.
9/25/2009 5:52:51 PM
The wave is the newest thing in the blame game. If we lose, it's clearly because some fans threw their arms up in the air, not because of subpar performance on the part of the football team.
9/25/2009 5:54:17 PM
Penn State, Flordia, all have the fans doing the wave. Wether it starts when they are on offense, I dont know
9/25/2009 5:55:01 PM
nothing to do with winning or losing the game, I dont think it affects that at all... its just fucking annoying and it makes fans not pay attention to the damn game like they are supposed to
9/25/2009 6:01:53 PM
^ding ding ding ding
9/25/2009 6:04:37 PM
yeah any time i see over half of a stadium doing the wave, aside from being like "wow that shit hasnt been cool since 1989", i wish they could get this organized when say, yelling on defense, or stfu'ing on offense

the wave pisses me off when we do it on offense. i'm not saying it's a direct correlation to what happens on the field, but i think it's pretty fucking stupid to start cheering and doing the wave during the best offensive possession your team has had all game. if you are too inept to stay in tune with what's going on in the game, then at least have the intelligence to do the wave when the other team is driving.and yes, more helicopter defense]
9/25/2009 7:10:06 PM
NO WAVE EVER
9/25/2009 7:22:11 PM
RELEASE THE FUMBLECOPTERS
9/25/2009 8:24:38 PM
ok, I'll bite, what the fuck is the helicopter defense?
9/25/2009 8:30:01 PM
U MOTHERFUCKERS BETTER BE QUIET WHEN NCSU HAS THE BALL AND LOUD AS A JOHN DEER TRACTOR ON CRACK WHEN PITT HAS THE BALL ON EVERY DOWN!!
9/25/2009 8:34:10 PM
^^At the Murray State game 4 helicopters did a flyover (I think they were late or something) right when Murray state started a play, startling everyone, and caused (maybe not, but it sure seemed like it) them to fumble the ball which we recovered. so it's been a little bit of a running joke since then.
9/25/2009 8:36:36 PM
^^^ It's lock down defense on Peyton Manning. Philip Rivers basically tells his shitty Chargers defense to run that whenever they beat the shit out of the OVER-RATED Colts in the playoffs.[Edited on September 25, 2009 at 8:40 PM. Reason : []

wouldn't bother me if the helicopters shot some missiles or something too. I'd like to request a "warthog flyover." Anyone know who i see about the paperwork?

9/25/2009 9:02:30 PM
just be LOUD as FUCK tomorrow.Honestly it's all we can do.
9/25/2009 9:02:37 PM
Pitt has beat Buffalo and Navy and they are unimpressed with us?
9/25/2009 9:39:39 PM
Navy was able to beat Rutgers last year...just sayin

So was UNC[Edited on September 25, 2009 at 10:12 PM. Reason : by a lot]

All I'm saying is that Navy isn't the same shitty team NC State beat with Rivers. Navy has 13 wins vs. BCS schools since they installed the spread option offense. They also won in Winston last year, which state hasn't done since 2001...and put up more points and yards on the road than state did at home.Again, just sayin', but Navy has been a good team for a while now. Hell, they've been at least as good as State for a while now. Some people need to stop pretending that it's still 2002.[Edited on September 25, 2009 at 10:50 PM. Reason : .]
9/25/2009 10:44:56 PM
Not 2002, but also not 2006-7.Paul Johnson is at GT now.Not that they are bad, but beating them by 10 isn't particularly impressive.
9/25/2009 10:50:42 PM
there was virtually no fall off last year after PJ left. In fact, Navy went bowling even though they had to play their 2nd or 3rd string QB in over three-quarters of the games last yeari'm not trying to talk shit about state here. i love state and will always pull for the pack (except against Navy should it happen) - i'm just saying state fans shouldn't be dismissing a navy team that has accomplished more in the last half a decade than state hasanyway, the writer in question here is a fucking retard. i've been to noon games at carter finley that blow out noon games in the sec as far as fan involvement is concerned. i put nc state-fsu games right up there with the night game i went to at LSU vs. bama back in 2000. state fans know how to roll[Edited on September 25, 2009 at 11:07 PM. 9/25/2009 11:22:30 PM
oh look, goalielax is sucking off the fucking navy yet again.
9/26/2009 1:01:47 AM

Unfortunately, they may be right about today's game. I've heard a lot of people say they aren't going, going to play it by ear, etc....Just the way it is when they are forecasting all that rain. oh well, if you are there, be loud to compensate.
9/26/2009 8:40:45 AM
You go to games like this expecting rain. Then you are prepared for everything. You dont tailgate in the rain. But if its raining all day then you just leave in time to make the game.
