most of the time i listen to music on my iphone, but if i'm taking the dogs for a walk or moving around the house a lot, the weight of the phone is a little cumbersome. i want a mp3 player that i can move around with and not even notice it. just something small that i can wear and forget it. think ipod shuffle. but brand doesn't matter. don't need video or really any other features at all. 1 GB storage is probably fine. a couple hours battery life should be fine. FM tuner would be nice, but not absolutely needed. would like to charge via mini-USB or dock (ie no AAAs). i don't want to spend more than say $15 for it.[Edited on September 21, 2009 at 11:48 AM. i've got a cheap 2gb...looks like a knock-off ipod nano and it supposedly plays video...whatever, it was a promotional gift from office max you can have it for $10

model/photo? the price is right, but i don't know if something nano-sized is too big (did i just blow your mind?) to be sufficiently weightless for my needs. i've only used full-sized mp3 players so i'm not sure how small i need to get to achieve this requirement.

for the money, this would have been much much better (if for no other reason than you can rockbox it, but the ability to use 32gb microSD cards is pretty awesome)...i love mine (though i have the 6gb model)http://www.bagsofcrap.com/woot.html.php?id=4984[Edited on September 23, 2009 at 9:09 PM. ^^yeah, but it's 7x heavier than a shuffle and more features (and price) than i need. i've been waiting to pounce on a Sansa Clip (that smcain posted). it's only 2x the weight of the shuffle, and i can probably snag a used one for <$15[Edited on September 24, 2009 at 4:46 PM. Reason : .]
