Is there a way for me to connect a desktop to a laptop and use the laptop's wireless connection?

This has been an astraladvent query

you can buy a wireless adapter for the desktop and use an AD-HOC wireless connection between the two. or a wireless router and connect them both to that.

oh

yea,

that sounds a lot more like what he's asking, haha. i assumed he meant using the wireless connection to connect them--which would be retarded.

not 100% necessary with newer "auto-sensing" NICs

Another way of looking at this ... connecting/tethering your laptop to your cell phone and using your cell phone's data connection to get internet. Same idea here and yes same solution, ICS.
