I'm about to rip out these stupid dual points and build some sort of hall effect sensor. What dumbass japanese engineer thought it would be a good idea to make the adjusting holes so big that you effectively have 2 dimensions of variability every time you try to make a single adjustment? It's like trying to thread a needle in space...while farting.

It was in time. All I wanted to do was retard it a couple degrees. And here I am now, an hour later, with the points 90 degrees apart and my gaps all shot to hell.

Also, I was synching the carbs by holding my hand over the exhaust and caught a backfire right in the palm. Stings a bit. Really should invest in a manometer.

You don't need a mercury manometer. I've had dual vac gauges with line dampers that work great.

^^^^^ I went out on a limb and made one from plastic tubing and oil. Not only did it work, it worked surprisingly well. Try that and your hand will thank you.
