i've only been to the durham WBF once... one of the first years they did it if I am remembering correctly... it rained and was fun.I don't do the fall one due to college football.
9/9/2009 8:08:01 AM
Damn I leave Raleigh on the 1st
9/9/2009 8:20:31 AM
^^the fall one is the durham one. You might be thinking of the Raleigh WBF which is in the spring i believe. And whats wrong with watching State lose via mobile device while at Beer Fest? [Edited on September 9, 2009 at 10:29 AM. Reason : .]
9/9/2009 10:29:03 AM
i know when it is... i have only been to the durham one once BECAUSE of football... I go to the raleigh one every year.
9/9/2009 10:54:19 AM
I may attend this. This is definitely worthy of a Raleigh visit.
9/9/2009 11:01:22 AM
at least our game that day is @WF.... may be an earlier kickoff too, could perhaps make the evening session afterward...

9/29/2009 8:11:01 PM
People who drink in the evening?
9/29/2009 10:47:47 PM
i'm not talking about the evening session. I'm talking about paying 45 bucks for a ticket to a 3.75 hour event, and missing the first hour or two.

This will be my third World Beer Festival, I'll be there for the afternoon session. It is truly one of the best days of the year...Jeremy Grey: Grab that net and catch that beautiful butterfly, pal! What do you like better, Christmas or Wedding Beerfest Season?[Jeremy raises his hand]John Beckwith: Mr. Grey?Jeremy Grey: Yes. The answer would be, um, Wedding Beerfest Season?
9/30/2009 2:15:53 PM
^^ my current employer has a habit of calling me into work with only a one hour notice. Especially on Fridays. Having to drive 24 hours in a 48 hour period leaves little time for drinking
9/30/2009 6:10:34 PM
i've scheduled business trips around being in the area for the weekend.fly home? nope, fly to rdu.
9/30/2009 6:16:01 PM
so someone explain to me how this worksthis is the first time i actually can go to this[Edited on October 2, 2009 at 12:45 PM. Reason : is it all you can drink for 4 hours?]
10/2/2009 12:45:29 PM
yes
10/2/2009 1:12:59 PM
I know someone who is trying to get rid of daytime tickets
10/2/2009 4:07:25 PM
^^^They give you a 4oz plastic glass. You walk around from booth to booth getting 3oz pours of any beer you want.
10/2/2009 4:17:38 PM
awesome
10/2/2009 5:07:43 PM
my head hurts
10/3/2009 7:24:14 PM
i wish i could have gone... i usually go to the raleigh ones... i'd love to sample more fall-style beers at the durham one. it's during football season though.
10/4/2009 2:34:50 PM
Haha, saw one dude puke his brains out in front of everyone. That was worth it in itself.Overall, a great time. Probably tried abour 40-45 beers.
10/5/2009 10:05:18 AM
