I'm not close, but it might help us recommend someone if let me know what youre looking to have done. There are a few guys around that could probably help you out

well i sold my sammi, and old sas 92 4runner, bought an 85 rust bucket4runner, cut the bed off be hind the cab. This is where it gets fun. I need someone to weld a new crossmember in behind my rear shackels(bobbed the frame), build a flat bed, and some cage work. What ya think

http://www.blackoutautosports.com/ studuts from nc4x4. i have heard plenty of satisfied customers from this guy...... but i think i heard one dude that was pretty dissatisfied with the work so i cant totally endorse him. I know he has the skills to do what you need though. other guys can chime in on this, does chase at ecgs do this kind of thing? i know he has before, but i don't know what he has been doing lately.

chase is straight for parts and gearing, but i get butthert just thinking about most shops fab rates

I second Jeepmani mean just look at the front bumper on that dodge

Man, somehow i read the OP as looking for a shop rather than a wolfwebber/individual. I would def recommend Jeepman. He has all the wolfweb street cred necessary, and i know he does clean work. Does he have a bender yet? This thread reminded me of the fact that there really aren't any decent shops around raleigh. And after i got off tww last night i remembered about that one bronco buggy that blackout fucked up real good, owner had to pay a different shop to have a lot of the shoddy work redone, so yeah, i'd stay away from them.

^um, he's got open access to one. pretty sure he can use chase's whenever he wants.yeah, that guy was a prick well before than incident. it just took that for most everyone get it. don't forget how he screwed shane also. a bit of a questionalbe story in my opinion, but it could have been handled better by both. especially jon as a "pro". in all honesty, ~90% of the stuff i've seen from him has been good/just fine. it's not always the coolest design or machine like beads, but it's engineered well and the welds are usually penetrated well. function over form, works for me. in my opinion from what i've seen/heard/read, his main issue is just with his attitude/personality.

working on the bender option. Probably going to build one and get a die. Should be happening relatively soon? Whenever I can get the steel that I need.
9/1/2009 11:40:54 PM
jeebus i cant for the life of me see how making one yourself would be cost effectiveall the holes in that thickass metal - you getting it cut ona high def. plaz or laser?
9/2/2009 8:04:50 AM
I would agree that Im very fucking glad i bought mine too, rather than making it. Hell, the die is the expensive part anyhow.
9/2/2009 8:31:35 AM
I just put my bender together last night.Tubetek bender - 1 3/4", 240degree die.
9/2/2009 2:56:10 PM

^as a matter of fact... It's sweet. You're gonna like yours.I cant speak to how easily it bends...I havent ordered any tube yet. I'll post updates in a week or so.
9/2/2009 4:26:03 PM
we've had the bender, and used it plenty. we only had a 1.75 die. a buddy is buying us a 1.5 die for us to build him a cage with it.
9/2/2009 4:30:28 PM
We Do Tru............................ oh wait
9/2/2009 10:05:26 PM
^^^hahah at tnezamiI thought i was the one who suggested tubetek to you? we've had ours since july 08, probably made 50 or so bends with it that 1 3/4" DOM is tough son.....with a manual 60" handle
9/2/2009 10:22:00 PM
^You may have man, I cant remember. I just know errybody on nc4x4 swears by them. If it's too much of a pain to bend 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM I'll just order the hydro kit.
9/4/2009 9:16:43 AM
it's not bad, but my 150# ass has a hard time getting traction with that short of a handleI'm getting an 8' piece today to aid.
9/4/2009 10:25:58 AM
How much do die's cost anyways?
9/4/2009 10:41:37 AM
