^^ I've been to probably 4 or 5 ECU football games in the past couple of years for free using that same principle. No I don't give a shit about ECU football, but I was already in town for those weekends with friends, and I always came up on a ticket to the game without even trying because 1 or more drunk d-bags would pass out before kickoff.

So, apparently, they didn't send out an email for people who won tickets. Log into http://www.ticketreturn.com/ncsu and check if you got one. Claim period ends tomorrow night

Only people I"ve talked to who got tickets were those who did block seating.

20 people in my grad class signed up for tickets, not one got one.

I really think there is an issue. I called (919) 865-1510 (hit 9 to actually talk to someone) and what he said was that 12,000 people applied, but everyone who signed up NOT under a block leader didn't get a ticket or atleast very very low odds and not following the priority system with grad/seniors having the most priority. The guy tried to tell me it was just a demand issue but every grad/senior ive talked to not under a block id didnt get a ticket..its bullshit and people need to complain.

I'm a 3rd year grad student, and didn't get a ticket. It also wouldn't let me be a group leader. I have a feeling it has something to do with the student fees not being processed yet. Mine were paid a month ago and have yet to show up in my account. Under student information, it says my eligibility status for football 2009 is FALSE. This is pretty messed up.

aha i was all about to gloat that i got one, but apparently just seeing a "Claim Ticket" link doesn't mean you got a ticket....it's been a while since I've had to deal with this lottery system

I got a ticket, I did not get an email saying I did, but when I logged in, I was able to hit claim ticket and print it out. I am also a senior, but signed up with my roommate (senior too LOL) in his group.

I didn't get a ticket either, and I'm a fifth year senior. Nor did my brother. It seems that only people who where in groups got a ticket. I've never not gotten a ticket. Something has to be wrong

^^^ i went to every football game my first two years (used my own tickets the last two) and nearly every basketball game all four years, all on the online system, and never had a problem.

So it looks like everyone in a group got a ticket, while everyone not in a group didn't, regardless of class status. The way they've always randomized the tickets is to put the groups next to each other, and the individuals next to each other, and then select a random range of values (e.g. 4567-7566 if they have 3000 tickets.) In other words, they completely lied to us when they said they were implementing this point system where seniors start with 5 points and get more priority, probably because they waited until the last minute and realized they actually needed someone who knew math and how to program to implement that.
