Velveeta and ro-tel is good stuff. Maybe not is you've got high sodium or something. But otherwise, good stuff.

I'd rather cook a hearty chili and scoop it up with Frito Scoops. you could add some shredded cheese on top of that and call it nacho dip.

This one is always a HUGE hit at the Super Bowl party:BUFFALO CHICKEN DIPINGREDIENTS (Nutrition) * 2 (10 ounce) cans chunk chicken, drained * 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened * 1 cup Ranch dressing * 3/4 cup pepper sauce (such as Frank's Red Hot®) * 1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese * * 1 bunch celery, cleaned and cut into 4 inch pieces * 1 (8 ounce) box chicken-flavored crackers DIRECTIONS 1. Heat chicken and hot sauce in a skillet over medium heat, until heated through. Stir in cream cheese and ranch dressing. Cook, stirring until well blended and warm. Mix in half of the shredded cheese, and transfer the mixture to a slow cooker. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top, cover, and cook on Low setting until hot and bubbly. Serve with celery sticks and crackers.

My friend from Buffalo makes a different buffalo chicken dip that she actually bakes in the oven. I have been trying for years to get her to give me the recipe, but she won't. It blows mine out of the water.
9/26/2009 1:12:35 PM
my friend Rachel does hers in the oven too! i wonder if it's the same recipe. her husband is from NY, haha. i'm going to email her and get her recipe!
9/26/2009 1:14:07 PM
Some people post on the internetsothers just fucking get the dip making bitch
9/26/2009 1:14:57 PM
I'm pretty sure she doesn't used canned chicken either. I think she cooks chicken breasts and shreds them herself.
9/26/2009 1:15:02 PM
not a queso dip or bean dip but still pretty damn good guac dip:Three ripe avacados, crush them up until they are pasty/ dip likeAdd 1 can rotel, get the kind with habaneros if you want it spicythen just keep adding salt and lime juice until it tastes like you think it shouldavacados are pretty good for you too I think
9/26/2009 1:16:11 PM
^^Rachel is the master chef out of our "crew". I'm betting she does it that way as well. Email sent, we shall see!]

I am going to Costco tomorrow to buy 10 whole chickens to put in the deep freezer, lol. We cook with chicken so much and it is so much cheaper than buying the pieces already cut up.
9/26/2009 1:19:43 PM
hahah put that deep freezer to use!i took advantage of the Green Giant veggies deal last week at Harris Teeter and filled our deep freezer with 45 boxes of Green Giant veggies....for $3.
9/26/2009 1:22:38 PM
^ oh hell yes, that is on the agenda as well. The Food Lion brand of frozen veggies are like $1.88 a bag and are just as good as any veggies I have ever had.
9/26/2009 1:23:41 PM
