Couldn't find a thread that wasn't dead....Anyone know if there's a way to get boxee on my 2nd monitor with my macbook? I want it on my larger monitor and to be able to put my macbook in sleep mode like I do with netflix. It would just be nice to use a remote like with boxee.

You could try posting this on their own support forums where you probably have more of a shot at getting an answer. Have you tried searching the boxee forums at all? A quick search for "dual monitor" returns quite a few topics, including this one in their mac support forum:http://forum.boxee.tv/showthread.php?t=10437That or file a support request:http://support.boxee.tv[Edited on August 13, 2009 at 1:02 AM. It seems like this is why I dumped the idea of boxee and went with MediaPortal. I couldn't find any easy way to force boxee onto a secondary monitor.

its in the preferences/settings. you just select the 2nd monitor as its full screen target. easy

nice....i also figured out you can force your macbook into 2nd monitor only by closing it and forcing it to start by inserting a usb device. Then once it starts you can open your macbook and use the keyboard and everything. Stupid work around if you ask me.

It's alpha software, you get what you get. Don't like it, then code a fix and submit it to xbmc. Boxee still pulls code and contributes back to the xbmc project.
