What could make a motor go bad in this car? probably due running on low oil, but what else?

how much $ do you guys reckon it'll cost to get a replacement?

a clicking sound is no reason to go straight to replacing an engine

nah, its a loud rattling more than a clicking - like one of those tuk tuk/rickshaws they use in Asia.

i just got one mechanics opinion on it, going for a second one later today

could be any number of things, since we are being vague, i'm gonna go with an alternator bearing
