He's probably a wine drinker and only drinks beer for show.
7/30/2009 4:10:02 PM
Like I said in the thread pertaining to this whole issue, why not offer him something like a $10,000 a plate dinner at the White House? Or I guess ALL COPS LIKE CHEAP BEER so that will doI think he heard people say about both Clinton and Bush "I'd like to have a beer with that guy" and he's just taking it overboardOh I offended you on national TV because I jumped to a bad conclusion before getting all the facts? This $3 beer should more than make up for it![Edited on July 30, 2009 at 4:14 PM. Reason : .]
7/30/2009 4:12:43 PM
^Not so much on the "all cops like cheap beer:"
7/30/2009 4:15:47 PM
ooh, which one of them requested the Blue Moon? Cause they're probably gayhaha honestly what difference does it make if the President drinks or not?I mean I drink so I think its kind of cool, but I certainly don't think it has any bearing on your ability to lead a country]
7/30/2009 4:17:02 PM
As in all things-- Bush was worse. From what I've read he kept the White House stocked with Heineken for guests. The only thing worse than macro piss is macro piss with pretensions of class.
7/30/2009 4:17:38 PM
7/30/2009 4:18:24 PM
The cop prefers Blue Moon. It's in the article linked at the top of this thread. Also, does it worry anybody else that these people are still around?
7/30/2009 4:19:41 PM
I know some recovering alcoholics who won't drink a beer but that are probably more trustworthy than the average raging alcoholics I knowbut anyway, that has nothing to do with the topicOR DOES IT]
7/30/2009 4:21:09 PM
Well, George W. Bush was a recovering alcoholic who wouldn't touch a beer during his presidency, and let's just say he didn't ride out on a wave of popularity, love, and success.
7/30/2009 4:23:02 PM
has any President lately?I just lost a ton of respect for the cop when I learned his favorite beer is Blue Moon]
7/30/2009 4:24:08 PM
^^Hey, I'm here to help. You seem to lack the ability to be concise, which is unfortunate since you don't seem to be as dumb as a box of hammers.
7/30/2009 4:25:53 PM
7/30/2009 4:29:24 PM
A Belgian white ale? Why not a black lager? The cop basically just admitted to the whole world that he's a racist.A black and tan would've been the most diplomatic choice.[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 4:31 PM. Reason : ]

Look, we're all losing sight of some crucial facts here, namely The Women's Christian Temperance Union is still around trying to take away our beer.
7/30/2009 4:31:38 PM
This has nothing to do with macro v. micro. This is entirely about the type of beer. Bud is an American-style Lager, my friend. And microbreweries can pump out that watery stuff just as well as those fucks at Anheuser-Busch and many do. Conversely, you can find big name breweries making many different types of lagers or ales or ciders or what have you.Microbreweries were important in the 1980s, because they proved that Americans can enjoy other types of beer besides pale lager. But now everyone is playing the variety game. Even Anheuser-Busch has "American Ale" or some such. The "microbrew" moment has pased. Personally, I think the only people that still worship at the alter of the microbrew are people who actually think paying $6 for a pint of bitter makes them a fucking beer connoisseur, when it really just means they are gullible fucks.[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 4:39 PM. You may rest assured that Pabst Blue Ribbon will be the official beer of any and all GrumpyGOP campaigns and meetings. In fact, if I ever say I am creating a "Blue Ribbon Panel," you may all take that to mean I am getting drunk on cheap beer with somebody.
7/30/2009 5:16:42 PM
I usually have an 18 of some domestic light in my fridge at the crib, but when I go out drinking I'll opt for some good draught beerIf you will, call it drinking main street beer on main street, drinking wall street beer on wall street(and as usual, MLK Jr. Blvd is fucked)]
7/30/2009 5:19:40 PM
^^that, my friend, is a PBR
7/30/2009 5:25:00 PM
^Sweet.^^Same here. I prefer good draughts to PBR, certainly. But I love PBR more because I can drink it without driving myself into poverty.

I agree that the President should support American owners over American workers, such as those employed at the 12 Anheuser-Busch breweries in the United States, or those at its thirteen wholesale operations. If thumbing our nose at InBev means hurting roughly 23,000 American workers, so be it.
7/30/2009 7:08:40 PM
if theres anything hes done to lose my support its this
7/30/2009 7:12:21 PM
Bud Light is too expensive for what you get. For just a couple bucks more, you can get way tastier beer (from the store).I have not had a Budweiser beer in a looong time. But I'm sure I'll take it back up around Christmas. I love those fucking horses in the snow. I'll also start drinking Coke again...Santa packs are coming, Santa packs are coming, Santa packs are coming...I don't know what beer I would have chosen as president. I probably wouldn't have specified. I mean, you wanna relate to the everyman, you best order whatever's on special and drink at least six of them bitches.[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 7:14 PM. I realized how distant the Obamas were from regular folks like me when Michelle Obama first started talking about shopping at J. Crew to save money.I didn't expect her to profess her love for Wal-Mart. She probably shouldn't have said anything at all. I mean, they made millions of dollars a year...there's no real way to relate besides the whole one-leg-at-a-time bit.Same goes for this beer thing. Obama shoulda just straight up picked his favorite beer (if he even drinks it), and nobody's favorite beer is Bud Light, excepting those folks with the palates of middle schoolers. I mean, even the people who take pride in loving bad beer don't pick Bud Light.[Edited on July 30, 2009 at 8:01 PM. Reason : Okay, way too many words devoted to this non-issue. Peace out, playas!]

They should just each have a fifth of aristocrat vodka and party their asses off. Then immediately after the last shot hold a press conference.
