How do you upload music on the computer and make it a .wma or .wav file? I'm trying to load my own songs in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 since the game says you can do that.

^Do you know the answer to my question? I say it is ok because once you get too much stuff in the park it runs really, really slow. The load times suck too.

you must not have that much memory.just use a converter or if you really must you can burn mp3's from iTunes onto an audio disc and then copy those wav files from the CD to your PC. really stupid way to do it but thats all I got. If you google mp3 to wav i'm sure you'll find what you are looking for.[Edited on July 22, 2009 at 4:12 PM. Reason : .]

wtf is this even asking?

put your cd into the computer, open windows media player, click rip. This will create some wmas or mp3s based on how your ripping options are set. Find the new files, copy them to wherever rollercoaster tycoon wants them.

Dang! I loaded a CD and the songs were wma files, but they don't show up in the game even after I put them in the RCT3 folder under music in my documents. Has anyone ever solved this problem?

Problem solved. At the main menu you have to go into options and check a box that says something like, "allow your music files in the game." Now I just need to find a CD with some carnival music on it. I used Tom Petty's Greatest Hits "Free Fallin, Running Down a Dream, and Learning to Fly" on some of my rides.

For future reference: http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

I also endorse Audacity. I used it to build the soundtrack for the dvd I made my wife for Valentine's Day.

just bought a CD with 28 classic Circus/Carnival songs on in for 6.99 online. RCT3 is going to rock now! One of the major problems with the game is they had no real carnival style music like you would hear when riding a merry go round.[Edited on July 23, 2009 at 11:02 PM. Reason : .]
