I am about to take MEA 101 with Kimberly this fall (09).I have heard a lot of different things about this course. Can anyone offer any tips about hw (will we get multiple submissions, etc) and tests.I have heard about athletic reviews, I have also heard about just looking up old tests, but I see that he has 10+ yrs worth of old tests posted, how far back will I need to look to find relevant test questions.I also noticed that no tests have been posted beyond 2007, and ideas why that is?Please any help would be great, thanks.

All you need to do if you want to get an A is go to the review session. Write down what he says. The tests will be in the order he reviews them in. Or you can actually go and try to learn, but it is not necessary. Also, there are dozens of threads on this class alone.

there ARE dozens of threads on this class aloneif you have a friend that's a jock, get the test from them and skip the entire semester except test daysif you don't, go to the review sessions and write down everything, as the sessions ARE the tests

^,^^,^^^ all true. I took it w/ Kimberley and still talk to him several times a semester.-DEFINITELY go to the review sessions. Sign up to go as soon as he allows you to sign up!! Usually a large part of the review is the test. Not always everything. But, he'll drop the final tidbits you need to get the questions right. Oh, and go to the review class period before the test.-Class really doesn't relate to the tests very well because the material is quite broad. Alot of the test questions don't seem like geology questions at all.-I haven't checked in a long time, but he's got probably 60 old tests/finals on his website. You can try them out and get lots of practice there.-Also, Kimberley gives several options for extra credit. If you volunteer for stuff, he's generous with extra points on your final grade.

Go to review sessions, at least sign your name for attendance, do the saturday shit instead of the online homework. the tests in no way relate to class, so don't bother going. I actually found 30 errors on the website/book to get all 10 points of extra credit (he said I was the first to do that in years) so there may not be anymore errors, sorry. The old test questions will not come up, and like the lectures, in no way relate to the class. I was about a point from an A+ so if you follow my patented system, you will win[Edited on July 29, 2009 at 4:36 PM. Reason : oh and there are no more "jock" cheat sheets or whatever, that stopped in 2008]
