Something wierd is going on with my 04 jeep grand cherokee. It will not start...when I put in the key all guages on dash tick up and down at once. Had this happen twice last week and took the car to the dealer but the could not replicate the problem and insisted battery/alternator/etc was fine. Previosly it started up after turning ignition to on position a few times. Is there anyone that kinda knows what they are doing willing to meet me and take a look? Would be willing to pay. will it crank or not do anything? sounds like a bad battery or cable, take the cables off the battery and clean the terminals well, start with the obvious first

this is obvious but are you sure your steering wheel isn't locked? you can't start the car if it is.... *shrug*
