I only know of one place that sells it... a BP in Garner. It's $7.69. Where else have you seen it, and for how much?
7/18/2009 7:35:44 PM
u driving a street car that requires 100?
7/18/2009 7:51:40 PM
it's not that uncommon. it's not like there's a law limiting compression ratio on street legal vehicles.
7/18/2009 7:59:51 PM
just seems like more trouble than it's worth for a dd
7/18/2009 8:01:11 PM
probably not a dd.
7/18/2009 8:02:08 PM
you don't have to drive it daily for it to be street legal[Edited on July 18, 2009 at 8:03 PM. Reason : lots of speculating going on here lol]
7/18/2009 8:03:13 PM
why the hell is this in the classifieds?
7/18/2009 8:36:58 PM
$350, but only if you can deliver to Durham.
7/18/2009 8:52:16 PM
lol oops, not supposed to be in classifieds. Moderator... feel free to move to The Garage. The car's spark timing is advanced quite a bit. 93 is normally fine, but when racing in hot weather detonation is possible. So... around town I'll stick to 93, but on hot weekends I'm going to at least bring some 100 with me.
7/18/2009 9:11:11 PM
I thought that stuff was leaded or is that the 110?
7/19/2009 1:46:42 AM
actually, i think it's 190% alcohol.
7/19/2009 8:48:05 AM
you /could/ add xylene or tulene from home depot for the same effect, though prolonged use can gum up your lines. there's a sunoco or something in angier near the airfield that has it, the airfield has leaded, and then steve asheworth in fuquay has that V-something that's like 120. It's been years since I was interested in it so no idea on price.
7/19/2009 10:54:38 AM
i used to see tons of places in charlotte >.<
7/19/2009 11:07:58 AM
theres one in cary i believe, been a while
7/19/2009 11:33:33 AM
yeah, bp in cary at the intersection of kildare/maynard sells it too. that's where i get most of mine. small quantities of 110 or c16 can be had from mayhem motorsports off of germantown rd. in raleigh or from rpm on hwy 70 in garner. i think rpm is a dealer for VP now?^^^^^nah, 100 is unleaded. most everything above that is leaded though, excluding some of the specialty racing fuels/additives.
7/19/2009 1:42:47 PM
petro express in hickory sells it for 6.99 but thats probably no use to you...lol
7/19/2009 1:45:18 PM
7/20/2009 1:30:59 AM
you could get 100LL aviation gasoline for a lot cheaper than $7.69/gallon (probably half that price), if you can use leaded gas.another option would be setting up to run E85...I saw some for sale the other day.
7/20/2009 1:45:34 AM
100 octane was $7 and 110 octane was $10/gallon at NJMP on Saturday if I remember correctly.
7/20/2009 2:40:23 AM
most airports have 100LL since many GA aircraft use that fuel. I'm sure a small/county airport manager will sell you some.
7/20/2009 7:57:06 AM
Yeah, but you can't pump it directly in your car at the airport. Gotta take a drum or a couple of gas cans.
7/20/2009 10:34:06 AM
http://www.sunocoinc.com/Site/Consumer/RaceFuels/260GT100Locations/North+Carolina.htmlist of Sunoco stations in NC that sell 100. There are a couple other stations in Mooresville that sell it too.
7/20/2009 4:12:57 PM
^^^ yeah, essentially EVERY airport will carry 100LL.
7/20/2009 8:17:45 PM
theres a place in middlesex that has 110 octane I think. me an BigBlueRam got some there once.
7/21/2009 1:11:49 AM
almost sounds like trying to find drugs or something
7/21/2009 1:45:49 AM
...[Edited on July 21, 2009 at 11:55 AM. Reason : ...]
7/21/2009 11:49:10 AM
^^^yep, leaded 110 out of the pump. not sure what it is now, but at the time it was very reasonably priced.
7/21/2009 5:58:45 PM
it's about $7.50 for the 110 at Middlesex when I was there a couple months ago. It seems to be very close to the price of the Cary gas station
7/21/2009 8:12:41 PM
I paid about $5.97 for the grande burrito and have been rippin 110 all afternoon
