looks great on paper but that's about it. Out of the box, it's kinda meh and the interface isn't that great but there's a lot that you can do to the phone to make it better. I was debating on getting the omnia or the storm back in february but went with the Storm because the omnia would take too man mods to get it to where it was a decent phone. Can't say that I regret the decision. Verizon is supposed to be getting the Omnia 2 later this year which looks pretty nice.

i think the omnia II is expected in the next month or so. Samsung also has 3 other omnia's coming out. One with a slide out keyboard, another that is akin to the blackberry formfactor and an omnia lite (an omnia II with a 3mp camera and some other lesser features). Not sure when/if those are coming to the US or what carriers.

in this video, it looks like shithttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YE6kFC8Mgr4I guess the narrator is just trying to describe it, not really review it, but it's funny how he intentionally flies right by all the shitty interface elements, missed clicks and slow response time without comment. and a telescoping stylus? ...... how quaint

man, if i had seen that youtube video I never would have made this thread. It took going to the store and playing with one to see how shitty it was.I only watched about half the video, but it's dead on. Had to tap things multiple times, slow as hell to flip the screen around to landscape/portrait.... if it does at all, etc. Using the keyboard wasn't horrible, but it covered things up. And getting it to pop up was a pain in the ass at times.

My dad was going to get it; however, when attempting to buy the plan for it, the Verizon salesperson told him that he needed to get a more basic plan and then add the features he wanted (VZ nav)......it would be 10 dollars more total per month to do that; however, the plan he initially wanted included nav As for the phone itself, it's poor clone to the iPhone. I'm not sure if the App support is there yet.

A friend has one, he hasn't been thrilled with it. The default interface is illogical and nonintuitive, and while it does have a few interesting apps, there are a lot better phones out there for the money.
