Dropped balls, drugs, Home runs, ejections. last night was a bull shitish type call. I dont like him but that was horrible. I would have done something of the like.

the ball was clearly outsidei figured umps would overtly try to fuck him on some calls after he got back but that was too blatant

calls were going like that both ways...they said that homeplate ump and his brother are notorious for being "pitcher's umpires"Kershaw was receiving the same benefit that Manny was victim to...maybe Manny won't be afraid to take his bat off his shoulder tonight...if he showed he was willing to foul of some close pitches it might put him in a more favorable light with the umps during that particular plate appearance]

Regardless of there the pitch was, him throwing that stuff like that is ridiculous considering he just got back from a 50-gamer. WOW
7/8/2009 12:14:52 PM
No wayIf you get came back to work after missing almost 2 months, and someone tried to fuck you, would you sit there and take it ?
7/8/2009 12:19:45 PM
in most cases I'd agree, but this was far from the first time Manny has kept his bat on his shoulder during an entire at bat...maybe willingness to to foul of a couple close pitches would be something for him to consideri dont really care either way, it was pretty funny to see him get all pissed off and get ejected

there was a dude at the bar last night with dreads pulled back under a ball capas he got drunker, he kept yellingmanny being manny

Doesn't give the umps the right to sit there and screw him like that ...Was a ball. He acted no differently than any other MLB player.
7/8/2009 1:11:56 PM
his own pitcher (Kershaw) was getting the same calls on the other halves of the inningsofficiating in sports isn't always the greatest, but all you can ask for is consistency...if the umps are notorious for being pitchers umps and calling close pitches strikes, then swing at close pitches (especially when you're one of the best hitters in the MLB)...that was how the homeplate ump was calling the game last night...Kershaw struck out 7 and only walked 2 last night (which is good for him) so I don't think he minded how pitches were being called
7/8/2009 1:14:50 PM
Yep. He was giving the outside corner all night long.
7/8/2009 1:17:02 PM
Perhaps Manny was just being Manny thinking he would get the benefit of the call.
7/8/2009 1:19:51 PM
If a 50 game suspension doesn't smack some sense into this dude, probably nothing ever will. Dont like him, dont like his attitude, dont like his game, & wouldn't want him on my team.
7/8/2009 1:26:29 PM
I was talking moreso in the ejection, not the call.Hell, no one is worse than Eric Gregg.

http://sports.yahoo.com/video/player/news/Sports_Minute/14803998Nice catch, but he could have made it easier with a better break on the ball.
7/30/2009 1:41:31 PM
For any other outfielder, that is a routine fly catch.
