I drove up from Brunswick County like 2 hours ago. OMFG nasty! Around the bridge my car started gargling. On 3rd street, I thought it was going to stall. The water was everywhere. I couldn't avoid it. I went to Echo Farms down Carolina Beach Road. Right lane was horrible!UNCW has 3 ft. I heard.

yeah, i have a few friends that live in those apartments near new centre/college that had to actually evacuate their apartments...

that's what happens when you build in the low spots where the water is supposed to go. new centre drive will always flood and channel 6 will have some bozo talking about how bad it is.

They should condemn half those apartments on Racine that road floods whenever the wind blows the wrong way. After Ophelia I was down there and the street was actually a river.

"Flooding out", is this a local term for simply "Flooding"?

Yeah my cousin lives in some apartments down there and the water flooded halfway up her car. Needless to say it's ruined, haha. But luckily she's on the 2nd floor, sucks for the first floor apartments.

if overwash isnt gonna get the people off the island, a little bit of flooding isnt gonna get people to leave parts of wilmington

perhaps they should hold the throttle all the way open and crank it until it starts.
