Starts Thursday July 9th. They announced the castlist this morning. Mostly. There are 12 people announced and one "mystery houseguest" that will be announced. There are rumors that there may be a fan vote to pick from several previous houseguests to be sent into the house. Sheila from BB9 posted on her blog about how she will be "traveling" for the next 3 months, so speculation is that she might be the 13th guest. I hope not. http://www.cbs.com/primetime/big_brother/Here's a video showing off some of the houseguests.Supposedly the theme of the house this year is the haves and the have-nots, which is pretty self explanitory, althought there has also been mention of splitting the HGs into cliques (Jocks, Populars, Brainiacs & Outcasts) so it's not clear if they will be doing both or not. Personally I enjoy watching groups form off naturally so I kinda hope they aren't too forceful with pairing people off.
7/1/2009 3:31:29 PM
people still watch this shit
7/1/2009 4:50:14 PM
I thought this show died a long time ago because no one was dumb enough to watch it....It's like the myspace of reality shows.
7/1/2009 4:55:52 PM
sweet, this is definitely my summertime guilty pleasure showI thought it didnt start back up until the 15th though, oh well
7/1/2009 8:52:05 PM
is this show in HD yet? its been over 10 years since shows started going HD
7/2/2009 7:27:01 AM
Nope, it's not in High Def this year. All the cameras in the house are still 4x3 and I guess CBS is too cheap to upgrade them.
7/2/2009 10:09:00 PM
According to the list of houseguests:http://www.cbspressexpress.com/div.php/cbs_entertainment/release?id=22156There's a chick from Matthews, N.C., in there.
7/3/2009 12:00:27 AM
HD?Are you serious? You're watching people sit inside a house 24/7You want to see that in high def, grab a pair of binoculars and go have fun.
7/3/2009 11:36:36 AM
I love this show. That being said, the preview I saw for this season didn't seem all that interesting.
7/3/2009 5:18:30 PM
attn: bbehe. Your opinions are no longer needed in this thread.thxmanagement.
7/3/2009 6:07:48 PM
Did anybody watch it tonight? I think I hate everyone.Fun.
7/10/2009 12:35:14 AM
yeah i watched itwas really hoping the popular crowd would have won. Would have definitely liked to see more of Jessica this season. Now it's that idiot meathead from last year.
7/10/2009 8:16:14 AM
This season is already reminding me of a few seasons ago where every single person was completely unlikeable. I didn't watch after the first few episodes that season.
7/10/2009 8:30:09 AM
I was actually thinking last night how I dont dislike any of the people yet. I like the cute blonde girl from charlotte, but I have a feeling shes gonna get booted early.I was hoping Jessica or Brian wouldve won the HOH last night, pretty damn funny that Brian got eliminated first last season and was the first knocked out again last night.
7/10/2009 8:47:30 AM
So far, I'm digging this season, after only 1 show. Looking to be a better cast than a few seasons ago where all the annoying people made it to the end, I forgot what season that was.I wanted Jessica to make it back in, she is banging. Too bad tool meat head got in, I was hoping for jes or Brian...definitely couldn't have handled another season with Cowboy...geez...that dudes not worthy of reality tv.Holla at the big fake tits.
7/10/2009 12:22:44 PM
I think it was kinda bullshit that first challenge was right up the athlete's alley.
7/10/2009 6:33:37 PM
I seriously couldn't have watched this season if Cowboy had made it back into the house.I'm hoping Jessie's dumbass gets eliminated first. I wanted Brian to come back, or at least Jessica, but oh wellll.
7/12/2009 2:33:19 PM
well jessie is HOH automatically right? So he can't be eliminated first...
7/12/2009 7:40:18 PM
Well its obvious why the fake boob girl has them after seeing this episode...her face is busted as hell. a fucking horse face!
7/13/2009 1:23:42 PM
yeah, her teeth are fugly. I'm sure she'll still get passed around by Jeff and Braden though. Jessie will be too busy masturbating to himself in the mirror
7/13/2009 1:32:50 PM
hahahah yeah her teeth are god awful. And I really hope Chima (sp?) goes home. She's annoying, her big ass lips are really distracting in a really bad way and she's a whiny, sore loser.Plus I like Lydia.
7/13/2009 1:40:26 PM
Lydia's kinda sexy when she doesn't have her hair combed back like Zack Morris
7/13/2009 2:11:40 PM
I like your observations Jesse.
7/13/2009 2:21:21 PM
can anyone give a rundown of what happened last night? I got caught up watching Eagle Eye and missed it.
7/15/2009 10:23:24 AM
The guy from Chicago is now an outcast with the athletes. The nerd got caught playing both sides. The tatted chick got taken off the block so the jocks could get rid of surfer dude.
7/15/2009 12:08:02 PM
wtf, so Jeff is an outcast in his own clique? wtf happened?and they are after Braden now? jeez
7/15/2009 12:15:50 PM
shit went a little nuts last night. The veto competition made the competitors search for lettered tiles (like scrabble) and whoever spelled the longest word in 10 minutes won. Jeff tried to spell "technotronics" but failed miserably (he admitted to being a bad speller) and Russell went on to win with the work "shotgun".The next day Russell went apeshit on Jeff outside in front of everyone saying that Jeff isnt mentally or physically strong enough for the game. The the athlete chick started picking a fight with Jeff immediately afterwards. They both came off as major douchebags in front of the whole house (especially Russell). Lydia is teaming up with the athletes (minus Jeff) and decided to take Lydia off in place of Braden, who they feel is a threat for some dumb reason. Russell told Ronnie the plan, and Ronnie's dumbass went and told Braden before the veto ceremony. Russell found out that Ronnie spilled the beans and now Ronnie has a target on his back. Braden still got put up.Basically, Russell, Jessie and the athlete girl think they are running the house and cannot be stopped. They are coming across as cocky assholes and alienating themselves from the rest of the house.I hope that Chima gets kicked out this week, and next week someone other than an athlete wins the HOH so they can put Jessie and/or Russell on the block. Russell is probably my least favorite player so far, followed closely by Jessie.
7/15/2009 12:52:53 PM
I thought for sure Ronnie would go up. Russell figured him out quick. The one to watch is the goofy 5th grade teacher. He is flying way under the radar.
7/15/2009 2:04:10 PM
^Agreed. Casey and the gay guy have played this week great. No need to make a move so early. Sit back and let things happen. Ronnie reminds me of Brian from last season. Trying to use strategy way to early. The only difference is they stayed with Braidon going on the block for some reason. Really hope Jessie and Russel go up next week. And if one gets POV then just put up the athlete chick. Can't go wrong getting rid of one of them. Never thought I would hate someone more than Jesse. Then Russel came along.
7/15/2009 9:31:56 PM
good season so farjordan nsfw: http://i26.tinypic.com/2r2tzd5.jpg[Edited on July 16, 2009 at 6:47 AM. Reason : a]
7/16/2009 6:46:51 AM
^^ Yep, I thought that too. I don't understand why people try to play the game so damn early. Don't they see past seasons where that usually gets you kicked off? I would just get to know everyone and not make big scenes or really do all that much the first couple of weeks.
7/16/2009 10:54:57 AM
^^Nice....shaved cooch & all.
7/16/2009 12:40:39 PM
If Russell had started yelling at me like that, I would have just ignored him. Instead, the dude bought right into it and started yelling back. Hook, like, sinker. But yeah, Ronnie is definitely playing too hard at the onset. The people that have it the best right now are: Casey, Michele, and Kevin.
7/16/2009 2:20:24 PM
Lydia is lame as fuck. Also, she's hideous. I can't even look at her face because of her stupid ugly missing tooth.I can't believe she got mad because the blonde chick cried when Braden got put up but not when she did.
7/16/2009 8:15:07 PM
I resend my comment on the "gay guy" (Kevin). No longer laying low and hopefully will go down soon. Unfortunately with Ronnie in charge I can see Jordan and Jeff going up. Hopefully the game can change before all the good houseguests are out and we are stuck watching the athletes (minus Jeff), Ronnie, Chima, Kevin, and Lydia. If that happens it will officially fall below the first season as the worst ever.
7/16/2009 9:08:40 PM
if that happens I think i'll stop watchingand I'm not one of those people that threatens that every seasonbut damn like 90% of these people are seriously unlikeable.
7/16/2009 9:14:37 PM
I'm now rooting for Casey after he called Sheema out for being melodramatic in her final veto speech.
7/16/2009 10:37:11 PM
if i were jeff i'd intentionally throw everything from here on out, and i wouldn't be the slightest bit cryptic about it. i'd make a deal w/ everyone in the house - until the cliques are 'busted up' i throw everything in an effort to keep the power out of the athletes hands, in exchange for safety up until that point. at that point, it's every man/woman for themselves, but by that time, i've probably made some solid alliances anyway.i also hate the jessie/russell/nat/lydia/kevin crew. lydia now seems like a leech, attaching herself to them realy only b/c they were in power. she was also a cunt about the whole "yelling" drama, getting on jordan for yelling when lydia yelled on multiple occasions. chima is a diva bitch. kevin will do whatever lydia does. russell and natalie seem to be good gamers, but i hate their style.i think the 'good guys' from here out are jeff, jordan, michelle (hates chima), probably casey. ronnie is a wild card and laura is just strange, but i think she will align herself with jeff/jordan despite her "deal" with the other athletes.
7/17/2009 6:29:04 AM
favorite thus far is casey.least favorite is chima and her attitude.
7/20/2009 10:36:04 AM
so did Braden get sent home? I was travelling Thursday and missed the show.
7/20/2009 10:41:26 AM
^ yeah...they had the votes to keep him but the dork guy flipped & voted him out, now he is the HOH.
7/20/2009 12:01:55 PM
I don't know what the hell Ronnie was talking about at the end of the show last night, how if everything goes according to his plan, Russell will be backdoored this week. That's just retarded. Assuming one of Jeff/Laura gets off the block, they would only have 4 votes against Russell - Casey, Jeff/Laura, Jordan, Michelle. And the Athlete clique would still have 5 votes - Chima, Lydia, Kevin, Jessie, Natalie. I think Ronnie tries to play the game so hard, he's even trying to bullshit the viewers. This guy is such a tool.[Edited on July 20, 2009 at 1:08 PM. Reason : []
7/20/2009 1:07:29 PM
^Agreed. The plan to "backdoor" Russell sounds great except he wouldn't have the votes to get him out. Unfortunately because he has divided the house so much I do think he will fall in the middle and not get voted out or targeted for a while (unless the whole house comes together to get rid of him).
7/20/2009 2:02:31 PM
Ha! The BB message board I sometimes read as dubbed this week as "Hairy Plotter and the Half-Baked Plan"
7/20/2009 8:05:18 PM
Ha, I went to high school with the girl from Matthews
7/20/2009 9:43:48 PM
Ronnie is a dumbass.Everyone knows that the first 4 to leave are the ones you DON"T want in the jury house. My four would be Shema, Jessie, Russell, and Natalie or Jeff.Lauren and Jordan are ditzy and not very good at playing the game. (Unless CBS is editing the hell out of their game play.)For that matter Braden should have not been one of the first to leave either. If it was me, I would nip alliances in the bud before they got full-blown and the ones scheming are the ones I listed above.
7/22/2009 12:25:21 PM
ronnie should have never said anything about backdooring russel if he wasnt going to go through with it. now nobody trusts him even more
7/22/2009 7:38:02 PM
Ronnie never had the balls to put up Russell. But I am glad he told everybody his plan because I am pretty sure Russell has the balls to put up Ronnie. Laura is probably on her way out which is unfortunate. I like Jordan, but disagree with the post above (^^) and think that Laura knows how to play the game and could be very good. Her game play seems to be the only thing that Ronnie has figured out correctly.
7/22/2009 9:18:51 PM
yeah, it surprised me when Ronnie put up Jordan, but then when he explained that Laura was catching on, I thought it was smart.I do think he was a little scared to put up Russell. Russell knew it too, he put up a big smirk when Ronnie nominated Jordan.
7/22/2009 9:26:56 PM
Would not be shocked if Laura is able to convince enough people to vote Jordan out. Especially considering her relationship with Jeff.
