i sold my zune for this very reason. nobody makes zune adapters that can be controlled with OEM headunits but everybody in their brother makes them for ipods

Soon enough, all vehicles, phones and mp3 players will have stereo bluetooth, and there will be no need for adapters.

i use the zune dock. most of the time they say ipod compatible, it's usually just that it has a 1/8" stereo jack, but not always, there are a few that are ipod only and actually have the ipod connector

most that have an actual ipod connector also have aux jack.

Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Motorola, LG, NEC, Qualcomm, Research in Motion, Samsung, Texas Instruments and Apple signed an agreement in Europe today, to go to mini USB chargers on their phones. I'm guessing a standard USB outlet will be the norm (almost there today) on cars in the coming years.
