OK, so I'm moving out of here in about four weeks and I don't want to take all this stuff with me, mostly because it's not my style and it'll just take up space in my new apartment. Since it'll just be me living there, I do not need a lot of this extra furniture/computer shit.I'll post pictures a bit later, but for now I wanna see if there's real interest for some of this stuff. Here's a rough list:- 2 cheapo ATX computer cases (mid-towers)- 1 black metal framed futon with two mattresses (one the thin original, the other the new one, the new mattress has a cover)- 1 small forest green lazyboy recliner (it's basically mint condition, inherited from my grandmother and neither she nor I really have used it. looks like a little old lady's chair but it's very comfortable, nice, AND easy to move)- 19" CRT monitor (does 1600x1200 resolution @ 60hz I think, maybe @ 75hz. Haven't tested it in a while. It's a cheaper model monitor that was made in ~2003-2004 or so. I think it's an HP V90)- 1 semi-nice raidmax ATX case (the USB cable wiring on the front is mangled and I think the blue light on the door that covers up all the 5.25" bays was burned out by a bad PSU I had in my old computer, but the case can use MANY 8cm fans and is very sturdy)- I've still got my old AMD Athlon 3700+ (san diego core) motherboard with an MSI K8n neo4 motherboard. It may still have memory with it as well, I'll update specs on that soon. Should work OK, but the motherboard was unstable if you tried to overclock it.- I've got two older Socket A motherboards that may or may not work, and I've got something like 7 athlon processors of varying speeds that may not work (probably don't). They're free if you want to play with them though, otherwise I'll recycle them or throw them away.- 1 black leather "executive" office chair with arm rests. Pretty comfy. I replaced it with a nicer one because I tend to use my computer way longer than most rational people do and I wanted a better chair.- 1 Ikea Traktor office chair/stool. Form fitted for the human ass just like a tractor chair, with no support for your back. I got it to help improve my back strength and my posture after I injured my back muscles. Would be great as a project stool in a garage or a craft room.- 1 maple and pewter finish computer desk (small) with wheeled printer stand. Don't need duplicate desks, this one is in fine shape, it's just being used as a nightstand/mail sorting center/phone charging stand right now, lol.- Matched pair of flat-panel speakers styled to look like a portrait frame with Tuffy in the middle. They're fairly large. Comes with a matched subwoofer, a small one, but I don't have the power supply for this one. I didn't lose it, it just never came with it and I thought I could find a replacement. Uses an odd voltage like 13.3v or something for the PSU. My brother has the other set so I can ask him if he still has it and look up what the specs are on the power brick. This would be pretty slick to have at a bar or something.- A bunch of random stuff from past woot-offs where I landed some bags of crap. I have many Sandisk Sansas of varying model types which I'd be willing to sell. I know some of them work OK and haven't tested the others yet. Some are the e2xx series and are 2-8gb in storage size, others are the cheaper/older "stick" type units. I need to test and reflash some of them, but if you're interested in a certain model sandisk mp3 player let me know and I'll work on firing up an ubuntu live CD and testing these bitches out.- Other random stuff from that woot-off include a waterproof film camera (sort of a cheaper old school thing but it's new in packaging) and a hand crank flashlight and handcrank weather band radio set. I might keep the second one, but if you want to actually offer money for such a thing let me know.Pics to come. I may have more I'm looking to get rid of. OH WAIT, yeah I do have more.- HP PSC 1315 all-in-one printer. Works fine, I just got tired of buying ink for it. Comes with power supply. You'll need ink and a USB cable.- HP Deskjet 6840 color printer with wifi and ethernet standalone capability. Comes with a number of inkjet cartridges still in their packaging. The cartridges are "expired" but they have worked OK for me, sometimes requiring that you run the "clean cartridges" service from the service toolbox that installs with the HP drivers. The wifi on it can be finicky, but I have no issues with it when it's hooked up directly or hooked up via ethernet. Comes with power supply and the inkjet cartridges.OK, I think that's everything. Start hollerin' offers/dibs on things. I'll update with more specific info if you ask for it.[Edited on June 16, 2009 at 4:31 PM. Reason : and wow! post 13000]
6/16/2009 4:31:25 PM
what are you looking to get for the HP Deskjet 6840 color printer?
6/16/2009 7:49:59 PM
I'm just looking to have people make offers and start bidding on this stuff. You wanna start it at like $10-20 or something?Everything on this list is worth a different amount to different folks, so I figured I'd just let people who were interested go nuts on the pricing. I suppose I should work on ze photos now...
6/16/2009 8:19:19 PM
I could start at $10 for the printer
6/16/2009 9:38:29 PM
K, you got it. I was gonna get the photos up tonight but I have to stop thumping around right now. Roommate just went to sleep and MOST of this shit is in storage/all over the place.I did realize that I have some other computer stuff to sell though. To add to that list I have:- HP Pavilion 6745C which I'm probably going to install windows 2k on. It's a celeron 700 with something like 384 mb of ram and a PCI nvidia geforce 2 mx400 graphics card with 32 megs of old slowass RAM on it. 20gb HD. Very quiet and low power-consumption. Would be slick as hell if you wanted a dos box or something to fart around with linux. Bear in mind it would probably go slow as hell with ubuntu.- Newer HP Pavilion computer case, which I would give away with the two older Socket A motherboards (with the 7 old socket A processors and whatever memory I had with this). Should come with a decent speed CD-RW, and I can throw an 80gb HD into the mix if you want to screw around and try to get the stuff to work again. If I'm including the CD-RW & 80gb hard drive with this it's gonna cost you $20, but you'll have to take the computer case, hard drive, cd-rw, and the motherboard with all them processors. It was my "tinker with shit" for a while but I don't want it any more.- HP Photosmart 130, which is a small photo printer. Prints photos like you'd get at a photo lab. Comes with an inkjet cartridge still in packaging, but it's probably dried up by now. http://reviews.cnet.com/inkjet-printers/hp-photosmart-130/4505-3156_7-20305770.html- HP Photosmart 325, which is also a small photo printer. Prints photos like you'd get at a photo lab AND has a small color LCD display for reviewing photos. Can also use a lithium ion battery (NOT INCLUDED) to make it a portable printer. Also comes with inkjet cartridge, but it's probably dried up by now. http://reviews.cnet.com/inkjet-printers/hp-photosmart-325/4505-3156_7-31074839.html- Western Digital 80gb external hard drive. Will reformat before I sell it. Works fine, just don't need such a tiny external drive any more.I also have 2x 250gb hard drives that I might be willing to part with if I get a decent enough offer. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822144701 Ran em in a Raid 0 array up until last fall, never had any problems (except for the fact that SoftRAID is shitty). I also have an HP photosmart m407 4.1 megapixel digital camera I might be willing to part with. http://www.amazon.com/Photosmart-M407-Digital-Camera-Optical/dp/B0002RRVQW I think I still have the box for this back at my house somewhere. I'll have to dig for it. I've got a cable for it as well. Uses 2x AA batteries and comes with a 64mb SD card. Kind of mediocre so I don't want it any more, but if you want one on the cheap... Hm, also have one of those george foreman freestanding electric grills that you can use inside. It's the bigger style, not the little table style ones that you can't cook much on. http://www.amazon.com/George-Foreman-GGR50B-Indoor-Outdoor/dp/B00004W499/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&s=home-garden&qid=1245207114&sr=8-23 Has been used a number of times and the anti-stick stuff is starting to wear off in spots. Still a fantastic grill. Gets really hot. Hot enough to set off the smoke alarm when you cook steaks.
6/16/2009 10:52:57 PM
I'll start off with $20 on the "newer HP" with all those Socket A mobos and 80GB HD
6/21/2009 1:33:59 PM
Just bear in mind that the motherboards and/or the processors might not work. I don't have enough spare hardware from that generation to figure out what's working and what's not. The only things I can "guarantee" that will work are the cd burner, 80gb hard drive, weak-ass ATX PSU, and possibly the memory from that old system. It used to be an AMD Athlon 2600+ system with a gig (maybe two) of ram. I'll get the photos together at some point, especially of that heaping pile of stuff. I need to ship some stuff first though. I'm neglecting the shit out of this thread, but this stuff isn't going anywhere in the meantime.
6/22/2009 10:00:48 AM
would you be shipping this stuff to Raleigh? or would you happen to be convenient to Raleigh?
6/22/2009 2:58:38 PM
I live in Raleigh right now. This stuff is getting thrown out or donated before I leave, whether you all buy it/pick it up/whatever.
6/23/2009 3:12:30 PM
i need all the 20-80gb hard drives I can get for some barebones I got left
6/23/2009 4:16:13 PM
Actually, I'm going to go ahead and recycle the newish HP pavilion computer. I'm fairly certain all the parts are dead based on some recent testing. The original components were run in a super-hot case for years, eventually leading to the thing quitting. I'll part out its 80gb drive and CD-RW drive, though. I am gonna upload the pics I have so far (it's getting to be a PITA to figure out where to sort stuff out in my room so I can take the rest of the pics) and start numbering the items. If there's something on this list you want just say so, even if you want it for free. Everything not picked up or purchased will be donated or thrown in the trash.[Edited on June 23, 2009 at 10:20 PM. Reason : Hey sweet, it's not cooperating. Pics tomorrow, I'm going to sleep.]
6/23/2009 9:52:56 PM
I definitely want all the PC stuff you dont want, I'd hate to see you recycle/trash it. Seems nobody else is really interested, and I know you'd like to get something for your efforts of pictures and moving shit----so I'll bid $20 on everything FTW!
6/23/2009 11:34:58 PM
Haha, you asshat. I'll group up some of the computer stuff though and give you a list of what you can take for $20 (if you seriously want it). The newer stuff, however, will be pieced together for a desktop system to hand over to my brother. Namely that'll be the MSI mobo & the Athlon 3700+, the CD-RW from the newer (though not at all new) HP Pavilion desktop, and 2x 250gb drives I didn't list on here. And yeah, I am willing to discard a lot of stuff for those $20. Since BeastNCSU was interested in the 6840 I'll consider that claimed if nobody else wants to go higher. I'll get you pics of the ink and the printer itself in a bit.I'll still have 3 more printers to get rid of after that. I'm willing to let the all-in-one without ink go for free, but I'd like to get something (at least $5) for the compact mini photo printers. They're both in excellent condition (I used one of them once, the other is still in the box, and both are recertified though clearly working just fine), and the ink for them is not terribly expensive. I'll provide links when I get around to posting the pics.Somebody claim the goddamn futon and make an offer on the recliner. I'll put this on craigslist soon but would like to keep the % chance of rape at a minimum at this point.
6/24/2009 11:51:14 AM
haha sounds good. Just let me know what PC stuff is leftover.
6/24/2009 12:46:16 PM
K, as far as you taking whatever the hell PC stuff you want: 19" CRT that does 1600x1200, and it's not super old and doesn't have that discolored bullshit issue that old CRTs have. One mid-tower ATX case that's fantastic for screwing around with. Comes with an Antec 120mm fan up front and a 92mm or 80mm fan on the back. The second pic shows what's left of the damage from it being shipped to me by angry cavemen. Another mid-tower ATX case just like that other one I showed you, only it's new in box (was the replacement sent by newegg for the first one) and only has a minor, correctable defect. Should still have the screws in it and everything. An 80gb seagate barracuda. 7200rpm, uses an ATA100 connector I think. I'm gonna format it before you nab it.A PCI Sound Blaster Audigy 2 soundcard. It's the regular one (not the gold edition or whatever). Works great if you aren't running Vista.I only have the pic of the motherboard before I stuffed it back in the computer, but I've got a complete HP Pavilion 6745C Celeron 700 machine with 384mb of ram, a 4x2x24 CD burner (I think those are the speeds, could be 4x2x16), 20gb hard drive, and MAY come with an OS on it. It comes with a windows millennium edition sticker on it with serial, so if you can get some OEM CD's you could probably install it. No idea what happened to the original restoration CD's. In addition to that I have an HP Pavilion case that's newer (ish) with an ATX power supply, and this comes with its original motherboard, original hard drive (that's the 80gb seagate barracuda just above this), original processor and ram, and a replacement motherboard and six other processors (the other mobo and processors may all be dead, along with the original processor and mobo). I got sick as shit of fiddling with this. I'll do my best to include whatever cables I have from these systems, but I can't make but so many promises in that regard (shit's a mess, mang). I think that's the full list of stuff I have that I don't want and can't use any more that I'd be willing to let go with those $20. Sound good?OK, the other shit:- Futon with a black metal frame, two mattresses, and a cover for the big mattress (which I'll try to wash before you take this). Free, just come here and pick it up. You'll need two people and a decent sized vehicle to take the mattresses with it.- Lazyboy recliner, green in color. In fantastic condition because neither I nor the person I inherited it from used it very often. It's cloth, not leather, and quite comfortable. Make an offer.- Flat panel NC State themed "portrait speakers" with subwoofer. Comes with everything you need but the power supply. The speakers can be hooked up to a receiver via the normal means if you don't want the subwoofer. Low-power but sound crisp. All of it works (tested with a PSU that I gave to my brother with the other set of speakers I had). Uses ~13.2V or something PSU. Would like a small amount of money for this just to make up what I paid for it in part. - 80gb western digital external HD. Connects via USB. Will format before sale. Claim/make offer.- HP Photosmart 325 color photo printer. Prints small, 4x6 pics. Comes with an HP 700 inkjet cartridge (for this printer) and 125 sheets of 4x6 glossy paper, HP brand. Printer has small color screen for reviewing pics before printing. Still has the box, worked OK when I did some test prints, I just don't have a need to print 4x6 photos. Start bidding at $5, which it's worth for the paper alone.- HP Photosmart 130 color photo printer. Prints small, 4x6 pics. Also comes with a wrapped inkjet cartridge (two in fact, HP 57's), but no guarantee on whether those are dried up or not. Comes with 60 sheets of 4x6 glossy paper, HP brand. Has a backlit screen that doesn't let you preview photos, but does (I think) support a mosaic print feature that lets you review photos so you can print them. This one's pretty much new in box (though it's a refurb, it's only been opened for testing and put back in its package). Start bidding at $5.I still have to get pictures of the rest. If you've bid on something in this thread and want to pick it up PM me so we can set up a time. I'm just south of NCSU.
6/24/2009 3:29:13 PM
Hey Fuzion, I'll throw a set of Logitech Z-340's in there as well. I'm not sure if they're broken or if there's just a wire not making good contact. Makes a loud as fuck crackling sound when turning the volume up and down. If you don't want it I'll toss it. If you're not familiar with it, it's a 2.1 speaker system with ~30-40 watts (peak). Boomy bass, if they still work (and I am just an idiot who can't figure out how to hook up idiot-proof speakers).[Edited on June 24, 2009 at 5:38 PM. Reason : Pics soon to follow for all the other shite I have on sale.]
6/24/2009 5:38:25 PM
Yes, all of this sounds AWESOME. I use to have the 5.1 of those Logitech's, but I'll see if a guy I know can re-wire them. A dog chewed through my 5.1 Creative's and he fixed it in 30 seconds. I could use the ATX cases and all the other PC stuff. I'll go through and test the rest of the Socket A mobos with the leftover Duron/Athlons I have laying around. I'm sure they're like the rest of mine---extra crispy with a side of fried processor. It'll be good to have some extra mobos/procs to test against, I have some that do have some bad caps. I got your $20 whenever you want me to haul that crap away for you.Random note....how much would you part the external 80GB hd? I'll probably end up taking out the HD and putting it a rig internally, but I could really use the enclosure. I assume its PATA. I'm sure you would give me a better deal than going to Tiger.
6/24/2009 6:46:59 PM
OK, here's the pics and list of everything else I'm getting rid of. I still have these mp3 players and such, but I'm not sure anybody on here will be interested in these at all since they may (or may not) work and I was interested in getting $ for them. I'll simply give them away to friends as gifts. ANYWAY, the other stuff:- HP PSC 1315 all-in-one. Comes w/ PSU and printer. Has inkjet cartridges in it but I'm fairly certain they're empty or almost empty. Make offer or claim.- HP Deskjet 5840 inkjet printer with wireless (802.11b, and it's not perfect) capability, network capability, and the ability to connect via USB. Comes with the wrapped cartridges shown in the picture (bear in mind these cartridges are old and some may be dried out. You will need to run a cartridge cleaning cycle to get these cartridges working once you decide to use them). There are two working cartridges (black & color) in the printer right now. There are six cartridges in the box: 4 tricolor, 2 black. A bid has already been placed on this item for $10, so if you want this you'll need to up the bid.- Ikea Traktor stool. As you can see it is form fitted for the human ass. Would make a good garage stool for a work bench, or as a desk chair if you're trying to improve your posture (really helps with that). Claim or make an offer. It'll be dusted before you get it, haha.- Black leather "executive" chair. Pic explains it fairly well. Will be cleaned/dusted before you get it. Claim/make offer.- George foreman freestanding electric grill. Works fantastic. Grilling surface is chipped in a couple spots (i.e. the teflon is missing) but it's still easy to clean and works fine. I've found it cooks chicken better than when I tried cooking it in a pan, though steaks cooked on it still aren't quite as good as steaks cooked on a grill. If you're in an upstairs apartment, though, this is a fantastic alternative to a propane/charcoal grill. Claim/make offer. Yes I'll clean the grease off before you get it. - Maple & Pewter finish computer desk. Includes printer cart. Desk & cart have casters. Would work for a small desktop computer, or as a study/office desk to put in your bedroom/living room. It's clean as well. Claim/make offer. K, that's everything. Please, go nuts on this stuff. I am moving in 3 weeks and will be donating or throwing out anything shown here that is not claimed.^ If KRUZNBY doesn't want the WD (I got a PM from him before your post) you can have it for $5 in addition to the rest. I'll work on boxing up the computer stuff that's "loose" right now that I included in that list. I should also mention that the HP Pavilion 6745C is micro-atx, so it's pretty much only good for the parts that come in it (it's psychotically low on power consumption though, just 100w peak). [Edited on June 24, 2009 at 6:54 PM. Reason : ]
6/24/2009 6:51:06 PM
Gimmie dat recliner. 15 bucks.
6/24/2009 6:53:01 PM
^ Got 2 more people ahead of you, but I was looking to sell it for more than that. It's not the worn out shit you usually see on here.
6/24/2009 6:58:35 PM
Boooooo how much is the current bid.
6/24/2009 7:07:02 PM
Everybody wants me to name a price first. Like I told the first person, I was gonna advertise it on C/L for $100, but would be ok with $60. Depending on the offers I get I may be willing to go lower, or I might not have to go lower. It'll get advertised on C/L if I can't fetch a semi-decent buck for it on here.^^^^ LOL! I posted a pic of the grill again instead of the printer cart. Here is the pic of the printer cart:[Edited on June 24, 2009 at 7:23 PM. Reason : ]

Futon, Recliner, and Western Digital 80gb external hard drive are all sold.[Edited on June 24, 2009 at 8:23 PM. Reason : [b]Anything that says "Claim" can be had for free unless you wanna start a bid war.]
6/24/2009 8:07:24 PM
boooo....I'll just go get a cheap enclosure
6/24/2009 10:11:39 PM
Hey, the 80gb internal seagate is still there and should work OK. I'll get everything ready for pickup by saturday.I have a new insulin pump arriving today which I'm going to spend a sizable portion of my day toying around with.
6/25/2009 6:07:52 AM
i'll take the tractor stool if you still have it
6/25/2009 12:09:41 PM
K, you can have it, as I still have it. PM me with when you want to pick it up. Tomorrow night will not work, as that's when my family does "dinner night", but let me know whatever time works for you. I'm selling this BEFORE I move to start a new job, so right now I'm mostly just playing old/new video games and spending as little money as possible.
6/26/2009 1:24:50 AM
so are we looking at Saturday that I pick all that PC stuff junk up?
6/26/2009 1:37:46 AM
That would probably work. I still have to box some of this stuff, lol. I've got somebody coming in the morning for a bunch of furniture, so just let me know whenever you'd be down with picking this stuff up. Saturday would be the earliest I'd be available so you could come over to pick this stuff up.
6/26/2009 10:35:19 AM
Stool's been claimed. Still have that office chair, some printers, a desk, a little grill, and those flat panel speakers to get rid of. A lot of this stuff is gonna end up in the trash or get donated, so speak up if you want something.
6/26/2009 9:57:43 PM
i'll take that electric grill thing if you're gonna let it go for $free
6/26/2009 10:04:03 PM
I will. I'll work on cleaning that up for you. You want to pick it up this weekend?
6/26/2009 10:04:38 PM
$15 for Deskjet 5840
6/26/2009 10:13:39 PM
^ It's a deal, especially since you're coming over tomorrow already, lol.[Edited on June 26, 2009 at 10:25 PM. Reason : ^^^ The grill is pretty damn dirty. I won't be able to have it ready tonight.]
6/26/2009 10:17:56 PM
can you PM me where and when to pick this stuff up? thanks!
6/27/2009 10:00:27 AM
Yeah, I still gotta go through and process some of the stuff I'm going to give you so it would be late today or sometime tomorrow before I can get it to you. Some folks came by this morning and cleaned me out of the deskjet 6840 printer, the desk & printer cart, the recliner, the futon, and the external WD 80gb hard drive. I've got enough room to work now. I'll work on filling up a box with all the stuff I am gonna give you, and the rest will just be in a pile (cause there's a crap ton of cases here).[Edited on June 27, 2009 at 10:18 AM. Reason : Not to mention this monitor is just big.]
6/27/2009 10:06:00 AM
Grill's gone.List of what's left now. Claim it or make an offer (claim it = free, make an offer = after somebody has made a claim and you want it).- Flat panel NC State themed "portrait" speakers with subwoofer missing ~13.2v 6A power supply (That's if I'm remembering the voltage & amperage correctly). It all works, just needs a new PSU for the subwoofer, or you can just use the portrait speakers with anything that has RCA jacks.- Black leather "executive" (high-back) chair. Works fine and is comfy, I just didn't want two chairs (bought a nicer one).- HP PSC1315 all-in-one printer. Doesn't come with ink, but has two empty cartridges in it (maybe you can refill em or something). It's a color printer scanner and copier.- HP Photosmart 130 compact color photo printer. Prints 4x6 photos. Comes with two wrapped inkjet cartridges that are possibly dried up (no way of testing short of using the printer), and with 60 sheets of 4x6 glossy photo paper (special HP Branded stuff that's supposed to suck in the ink and make the photo last longer/not fade away).- HP Photosmart 325 compact color photo printer w/ color LCD display for reviewing photos. Prints 4x6 photos. Comes with an HP 700 inkjet cartridge and 125 sheets of 4x6 HP brand glossy photo paper. Not sure if the cartridge is going to be dried out or not (still in plastic packaging paired with the photo paper).I've got somebody who is looking to come get the stool and I'll post if they end up changing their mind. The above list is what's left for now. The "portrait speakers" may also be claimed by somebody coming by tomorrow to clean me out of all my computer stuff, but I listed them here just in case he doesn't want em.
6/28/2009 10:44:41 PM
good lord man. this is a classifieds thread and it's still [words].Ain't no poster like Mindstorm
6/28/2009 10:50:04 PM
i could possibly take all of what's left, sans executive chair... i guess consider this a 'claim'
6/28/2009 10:50:05 PM
Brevity is not my strongpoint.I like to pretend I'm something of a gentleman to most people, though.I also don't like making vague classifieds listings and getting asked a dozen questions about stuff. It's best to give you the info up front so you can go "fuck it, I don't want something without ink" and walk away, hahahaha.[Edited on June 28, 2009 at 10:55 PM. Reason : ^ Done. If Fuzion doesn't take the speakers tomorrow I'll consider you the claimant.]
6/28/2009 10:54:27 PM
how much for the executive chair??
6/29/2009 12:14:51 AM
$0 unless somebody else wants it for free (and you want to start a bid war) or you want to donate some money to the "goddammit I've been unemployed since february" fund.
6/29/2009 12:18:35 AM
