6/13/2009 12:01:48 PM
No. I'm responsible.
6/13/2009 12:01:54 PM
no, but i feel like whenever i invest in something, something else comes up which magically takes away the majority of my savings. then again i guess that means that i couldn't really afford the one thing in the first place.I don't have a credit card though, my only debt is like student loans which i've been paying off since my second semester freshman year.[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:02 PM. 6/13/2009 12:11:42 PM
^Nice.OP: Nope. I used to use a credit card to finance my education, so at least while I was irresponsible, I wasn't stupid.[Edited on June 13, 2009 at 12:13 PM. Reason : a]

i don't think i buy things i can't afford. the other day i did buy an expensive dress. i probably SHOULD NOT have spent money on it, but i had the money and i still have money and i have dos jobs so whatev. i mean it wasn't that i couldn't afford it....its just that saving money was probably a better optionbut i NEEDED that dress! and that was my shopping budget for the month of june. all on one thing. now i must accept the consequences of my actions. oh unless you count school. in which case yes, yes i did "buy" something that i couldn't afford. but we're hoping for a return investment on that. which isn't looking so great. so oops again.

in response to the original question: "hell, no"i've had a checking account since i was 14 and a credit card since i was 18...i've never run out of money, i've never overdrawn my account, and i've never carried a balance on my cardsit's not hard to be responsible...i don't understand why people struggle so much with fiscal responsibility (exceptions, of course, include those who just catch a bad break and can't afford the things they need to pay for like sudden medical expenses and such)

I only buy shit when I have the money to pay for it. Even with a credit card, I make sure I have the money first. I do not like the idea of being in debt.
6/13/2009 3:18:35 PM
I used to, then I maxed out my credit cards so I can't anymore
6/13/2009 4:02:43 PM

6/13/2009 4:03:46 PM

I've been saving for the past few months to buy a new macbook, but now my car needs new c/v joints and brake rotors, but it still runs. (for now) Conveniently, the cost of the repairs comes just $30 shy of the computer. I will probably end up buying the computer [Edited on June 13, 2009 at 6:39 PM. Reason : bleh]

there's nothing inherently bad about a credit card. it's just an instrument. i buy pretty much everything on my credit card(s)...I just pay them off every month.
6/13/2009 7:22:32 PM
I do pretty well for myself, so I usually can afford whatever I want. But then again I don't buy a lot of expensive shit.I charge everything to my credit card, and pay it off every month. I hate using cash, and I love the benefits of the card.]
6/13/2009 7:25:18 PM
if i can buy it i can afford it.
6/13/2009 9:44:46 PM
one week without drinking!!! i hope i can save some money now on
6/20/2009 9:02:32 PM
nope. i'm pretty responsible with money. i do the buy everything on credit card and pay it off every month to get the benefits thing too.however my interest in remaining financially stable and secure* was once interpreted as "money grubbing" lolz*which i am able to do on my own
6/20/2009 11:42:38 PM

6/21/2009 2:13:17 AM
unfortunately, yes, sometimes.
6/21/2009 2:29:03 AM
No I don't... unless you count costs from having to fix shit that breaks a while after I buy it.
6/21/2009 2:36:06 AM
Nope. If I can't pay for it straight up, I don't buy it. Things will change one day when I decide to buy a house or new car.
