The screenshot should explain itself, but to be specific I can't get WMP to give me the option to show other columns (artist, album, genre, etc.) in the Now Playing or Playlist view. It works fine when viewing the Library -> Songs view. Also, in the aforementioned view I cannot uncheck the column for Album Art. Is that a "feature"?Here's the screenshot, and thanks for any help.

I use it b/c I like to keep my MCE and Xbox360 music libraries organized. I've had (different) problems with sorting in the past actually, I never did figure it out.Reinstall?

^^it does? i don't have these problems with itunes. itunes has its problems to be sure. but it is far more intuitive than wmp. but whatever. use what you like. but just know that not very many people use wmp (as their music player) these days.yeah i guess the xbox 360 aspect is a reason. but that's just a proprietary necessity.[Edited on June 1, 2009 at 5:08 PM. Give winamp a try

^^usually iTunes, most of the time I just listen straight from my iPhone though. On the computer I generally pull up last.fmIs this the latest version of WMP? I can't get it to do what you are showing. Can you take some full screenshots? Seems to work fine in all views here (WMP 12.0.7100)[Edited on June 1, 2009 at 9:12 PM. Reason : .]

I just checked my WMP and cannot replicate this problem either (version 11). Also, if sharing to your 360 is a concern then I would really consider giving the Zune software a try. It is a much smoother experience than WMP (and iTunes, of course).

Today when right clicking to bring up the choose columns menu I noticed a "restore columns" option that was surely not there before. I mean I guess it's possible that it was but I feel sure that I'd have tried it before Googling for an hour and then posting here. Anyway, that did the trick. Thanks for the help.In response to some posts:I also don't find iTunes intuitive. I guess it's too simple for me to use I used to use winamp exclusively and even bought the pro version once, but after AOL bought Nullsoft things have gone downhill. And also, yes, I do use my 360 to play music from my computer, but I suppose it wouldn't make a difference if you use WMP or not as long as it's installed. Thanks again everyone.

I use wmp, it's fine and I've always liked it better than itunes. It's probably just aesthetics but I didn't like the color palatte or layout of controls and shit on itunes, not to mention I have little reason to use it because I've not bought a single song from them or have an ipod
