saw my first one in garner yesterday...jeebus, they're uglyfree thread

Yup. was it parked on the side of the road? (white?) When I first saw it, I thought, "WTF?" I was surprised. My wife knew what the car was before I did...
5/16/2009 2:22:59 PM
looks similar to the Scion Xb
5/16/2009 2:25:52 PM
^^ it was white, but it was behind me in traffic (and then it passed me and i saw the name)^ i thought it was a modded xB at first, actually
5/16/2009 2:34:06 PM
i never understood the appeal of cars like the xb, cube, and element
5/16/2009 3:31:24 PM
I like how the support for the rear passenger's side of the car has been moved forward to remove the blindspot.
5/16/2009 4:15:01 PM
Holy shit that thing apparently weighs almost as much as my jeep cherokee. With that engine it must be as slow as balls. Also, ~$20k for the "krom" edition? I dunno if this car's gonna be that big a hit.
5/16/2009 4:38:39 PM
The Scion will look a lot better in front of this one...
5/16/2009 6:23:56 PM
^^^^ prob fairly utilitarian small car

5/16/2009 7:25:23 PM
The Kia SOUL looks magnitudes of order better than the Japanese ones. Koreans are starting to make better looking cars than the Japs... since last year actually.

It's the best use of space(highway lanes are square, so should cars). Would make a great all around vehicle, haul friends or your washing machine. For that matter it would make a killer delivery truck or tool van. Assuming it actually gets decent mileage, of course. I can't imagine anyone purchases it for aesthetic reasons. With any luck I'll be able to afford an(a?) used xB for my next work truck/daily driver.
5/17/2009 2:31:50 PM
^^oh shit! the socialists got tdub!
5/17/2009 2:51:50 PM
yeah i b back on the internetz though im officially vehicle-less for at least a year. got a driver, riding limo-style except the limo is usually a toyota corolla station wagon
5/18/2009 1:11:10 AM

5/19/2009 9:28:04 PM
5/20/2009 3:12:16 AM

5/22/2009 12:48:57 PM
5/22/2009 12:59:02 PM
i rest my case
5/22/2009 1:50:12 PM
Whenever I see a smart car I can't help but get the urge to grab a normal sliced loaf of bread in the plastic and pancake it, accordion-style.
5/22/2009 1:53:29 PM
^^the cube would "look" like a hummer h3 before looking like a SMRT car
5/22/2009 2:05:30 PM
^^hahaha
5/22/2009 2:07:02 PM
i'd rock one
5/22/2009 2:30:03 PM
Looks like something Urkle or some liberal hippy douche would drive.
5/22/2009 2:44:01 PM
5/22/2009 2:59:41 PM
5/22/2009 4:44:56 PM
^I really don't see the point in these cars. Their gas mileage ISN'T anything to write home about.
5/22/2009 4:47:49 PM
^ It's better than my Jeep's mileage! But this thing also cannot drive over a curb and survive potholes.I guess they're trying to get the funky car crowd. I also just read that it was basically a box they put on the Versa platform. At least this one has a useful storage area...I still would never buy a vehicle that was as noisy and slow as my cherokee, only it couldn't nose around offroad, and still cost a pretty penny and still catches the wind like a sail (I do not like driving my jeep when it gets windy out ).I mean if it was a few grand cheaper, maybe, but I guess this car isn't marketed to me.[Edited on May 22, 2009 at 4:54 PM. Reason : It's a kind of fugly that reminds me of the Chevy HHR, only a bit worse.]
5/22/2009 4:54:20 PM
I like it.sticker mpg doesn't mean jack. would have to talk to some actual owners. the EPA F'd everything up as far as ratings.
5/22/2009 6:29:01 PM
5/22/2009 7:38:02 PM
duh guys, it doesnt look like a smart car. it looks like a sebring convertible.
5/22/2009 10:07:40 PM
its an overated fuckin golf cart, they all fall in the same category
5/26/2009 3:15:17 PM
I loled when I read 69's "looks like a smart car" comment and then saw that he rested his case by proving himself wrong.
5/26/2009 3:24:04 PM
The smart car has no hood, and has a tiny engine under the trunk. This thing has a pronounced hood and looks about 1000 times more like a Jeep Cherokee, based on boxiness. Keep digging that hole
5/26/2009 3:24:11 PM
I like it a lot also. I have a soft spot for the Japanese micro car/like category. I also liked the original Scion Xb, but don't like the current generation one bit. Very efficient use of space, and I do think it looks cool... Then again I like M3 sedans, M5 wagons, etc. More utility, the better. External sizes need to come down -> my biggest gripe with most current cars, that and weight. Sub 2800lbs isn't feather light, but it's sure lighter than most new cars coming out today.
5/26/2009 3:30:19 PM
your name sounds like aaaachoooo
6/20/2009 12:14:21 PM
i want to go test drive this and the kia soul !
6/20/2009 1:59:28 PM
these make better delivery/tool vehicles, the ford transit connect[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 2:28 PM. Reason : car]
6/20/2009 2:28:33 PM
do wantor the tall, narrow freightliner city van thingsI don't particularly care for the looks but I would definitely own one of the box vehicles listed above... I'm more likely going to buy a small pickup and keep my hatch, with those two i can move pretty much all i need to except more than 2 comfortable people
6/20/2009 5:14:16 PM
^^ My wife's cousin has one of those in spain. very nice car. he isn't even a business owner, but likes the versatility.[Edited on June 20, 2009 at 5:35 PM. Reason : -]
6/20/2009 5:35:35 PM
sheesh these things are uglyif they get good gas mileage I can't imagine it has much to do with the aerodynamics
6/20/2009 5:47:45 PM
lololol whether you like the thing or not, it looks nothing like a damned smart car. you fucks are clearly just trolling.
6/21/2009 12:07:51 AM
^ thank you
