just took this is spring. Comp Sci major. Fair warning this class is designed for math/stats majors. It gets very theoretical but you can do it if you dont give up. Dont get hung up in the long/complicated proofs in the book. Focus on defintions/concepts/ and solving specific problems. Dont memorize proofs or spend lots of time trying to understand the nitty girtty of each one. You will get frustrated and give up fast. Skim the proofs in the book. 1st exam (determinants / inverses / gaussian) is MUCH easier than the rest of the class. Do well on this exam since the scores on next two will probably be lower.2nd exam gets much harder. Pay attention to the difference between span/basis/dimension/row space/col space ... make a table to outline the differences in each one and how to calculate the dimension. 3rd exam also hard are very theoretical. Try to hang in here. Orthogonality is weird, go to office hours if you dont get it after a few days.good luck! and dont sink your head into the book proofs!

MA 405 may be the easiest thing you can ever take.

I took it when I was 15 1/2. I win.

405 is linear algebra right? don't sweat it. Much easier than PDE.

^Took that when I was 16 too.
