problem is i think i would only use it oncebut if i do end up buying one, should i get a analog or digit ital...they seem to be around the same price.]

analog. its faster, supposedly more accurate, and easier to read/use. I have the analog one and it works great for calibrating HTs, etc.

analog is always better!!!!!!!!!!

The ones radio shack sells, and most of the online cheap ones only read to 135db. Just something to consider. I don't know if you need more or not.

^ yea daryl is right. when it comes to measuring spl analog isn't better. analog meters are basically speakers so depending on how much use it's seen it could measure incorrectly. what exactly are you trying to do ? measure ur car? if so termlab is the only number that matters. i know a couple people with them.

the radioshack one is perfectly fine for hometheater calibration. not that i know that that what he wants to do, but thats what i used it for. Doesn't have to be ridiculously loud, just balanced.

yeah this is for home theater calibration. looks like the radio shack one is $45...is there a better deal on one online?
