I'd guess that he would now want to go to a school a good distance away, perhaps out of state. Somewhere where he can leave this incident behind and start over in a community that isn't fully aware of it. We used to "break" into abandoned homes all the time when I was in high school ... usually to smoke pot. In fact, always to smoke pot.
