I've been going through and watching a lot of older films lately and I must say this one is now towards the top of my list of best movies ever. Casablanca...Godfather...this. Jack Nicholson's performance was just perfect, there's not other way to describe it.

Scared me for a second. I was afraid that I would open this thread and find out they're remaking the movie with Ashton Kutchner or something. Seriously though, great movie. Definitely a classic.

I saw a poster in New Bern last weekend for a One Flew Over the Cuckoo's nest play. I thought it was a weird play for them to do there.

^^^,^^ Sorry for the scare. I don't want this movie to ever be remade. Re-released in theaters thought...I'd be down for that.

Nurse Ratched (sp?) was cold blooded. I believe she won an oscar for this as well as Jack.

^Not only that, but it was the first movie to ever win all 5 of the major awards (picture, actor, actress, director, screenplay)

Jack Nicholson couldn't act his way out of a paper sack. His "everyman" character is anything but. He's creepy and weird at the beginning of "The Shining", even when he's supposed to be normal. He goes from weird, to weird with ghosts. No wonder Stephen King was so pissed at how shitty that movie was.As for One Flew Over..., eh it's not exactly a great movie, but it did alert the public to how batshit crazy the psychiatric industry was/is, so that's a plus.Danny Devito's crotch, then and now.
