how is his personality? any idea of age?

reason why I ask is I would really be interested....we already have two dogs we adopted and we always babysit friends dogs on the weekend.

we always wanted a beagle only problem is we babysat our friend's beagle this past weekend and he was crazy wild, hyper, jumping on bed, table, howling all the time....

on the contrary our other friend's beagle is quite calm and tame

since we have 2 dogs already, we really can't take another hyper one

So far he hasn't shown any hyperness! He came right over to me at the gas station, road like a champ in the car for 3 hours!! He laid in the back seat and slept the whole way! I've been home with him for about 3 hours now, he's been out in the back (10x10 chainlink fence) and I haven't heard a word out of him. He wags his tail everytime I go out and he just lays out in the shade! I have a beagle myself and I know how they can be. He did great when he met my beagle!! Wagged his tail and checked her out! I also took him by a rest stop to if how he walks on a leash, I think he only pulled like twice! And that was only b/c he catch smell of something. Even then, he hardly pulled. Call me! My experience with tribeagles.org was the worst I have ever had. I wouldn't take him there.

I would take him to a generic shelter. He is young enough and cute enough to get adopted in less than a week.
