There are around 190 countries in the world. Sixteen countries recognize her as head of state.16 is not most of 190.There are 6 billion people in the world. The combined population of all the countries which recognize the queen as head of state is about 130 million.130 million is not most of 6 billion. In fact, if you combined all those countries, it would only be the tenth most populous in the world. And so, without even needing to mention how limited her power is, we have answered your question. No, she is not the most powerful figure on Earth. Also, go the fuck back to chit chat.

Sigh...so he did.Doesn't matter, the rest stands. She does not have reign over that many people, and most of the countries she has reign over are shit holes.

If I was Canadian, and the queen told me to kiss her ass, I could just walk away. That shows you how much of a legal sway she has.

If I was Canadian back in 2006, and the queen George Bush told me to kiss her his ass, I could just walk away. What is your point??Even if i could tell a powerful figure off why would i undertake such an action unless I was making a realistic rational power move that would elevate my position/wealth.As much as i was disgusted with George Dubs presidency if he called me up and wanted to go hit up the bar, serve under one of his department heads, or just shake my hand I would do so.

Most of the political power of the monarch of Britain is gone, but it seems like much of it was given voluntarily and unofficially.I wonder how much power an ambitious future king could take back, assuming support of the populace?

Even though the queen has no direct or constitutional power; I do think she is a major power broker with significant influence. The prime minister meets with the queen weekly in private unrecorded session for tea. I think the role of the queen is beneficial as a stabilizing force and whose opinion does not flap in the wind due to a constantly changing public view or greed for wealth/power.
