OK so somebody who is better with physics/observation/spotting errors in editing... When they are doing the boat chase scene and the other boat runs up on the back of Bond's boat he throws a grappling hook into the front of the enemy boat. All of a sudden the rope tightens and flips the boat off the back of Bond's end over end. This would make sense if the other end of the rope was attached to something behind both boats but I could not find the point where the rope goes from being coiled up in Bond's boat to being attached to something behind them. WHAT HAPPENED???

I didn't understand this part either. I always guessed that the little hook was attached to the anchor. He then dropped anchor. I really have no idea.

only seen it once but..the grappling hook punctured the inflatable boat. that's how it gets propelled end over end.here's my question:someone in the original thread mentioned that a (hydrogen) fuel cell facility would never blow up like it did in the movie. why wouldnt it? ^rented it last weekHonestly though, I thought the action scenes were awesome. it's been a long time since movie has "wow'ed" me with its action scenes. I didn't mind/notice the shaky cam bit until I saw people here complaining about it.

did you mind/notice one of the worst villains in the history of cinema?

I can buy the hook puncturing the boat. I guess if it popped violently (not sure how much pressure those things are under, would think they would take into account a puncture) it would flip end over end. Good enough answer for me. In my opinion Dominique Greene was a good Bond villain. He was bent on gaining power, killed who ever he needed to on his way up, worked for an evil organization and was a creep and wanted Bond to kill the shit out of before the story ended. I thought the movie was solid.[Edited on April 12, 2009 at 8:58 PM. Reason : .]

I just recently watched this for the first time, and I kinda remember the old thread. One of the issues that people had with the villain (IIRC) is that the master scheme revolved around something as simple as water supply. I just mentioned that I thought that was better than a guy with diamonds stuck in their face and a guy using a rainbow brite mask to get a DNA sex change in an ice castle, but that concept got shot down.[Edited on April 13, 2009 at 8:58 AM. Yea, it looked like the Brosnan Bond series was going the way of the Batman series, before Nolan rescued it.
