I think dimaggio's hit streak will probably be broken at some point in the next 20 years
4/10/2009 4:39:36 PM
Ryan Ludwick only needs 43 more!
4/10/2009 4:41:50 PM
Rollins had 38 a couple years ago and Utley had 35 a few years agoI think 56 will eventually be reached

just looking around on NFL.com these are some that will be tough to beat:Most Consecutive Games Played, Career320 Jeff Feagles, New England, 1988-89; Philadelphia, 1990-93, Arizona, 1994-97; Seattle, 1998-2002; N.Y. I could see LT breaking Emmitt's record]
4/10/2009 4:53:50 PM
I don't think Lawrence Taylor is going to be scoring any more Touchdowns

Wayne Gretzky's 92 goals in one season is gonna be a hard one too!
4/10/2009 5:08:51 PM
^whenever I look at your username I think of...They took out Jeeerbs!!!
4/10/2009 5:18:25 PM
some of the ones in the original post are questionable...I'd say Wayne Gretzsky's is probably the most unbreakable Most RBIs in a Season191, Hack Wilson, 1930That really may never be broken as long as MLB exists]
4/10/2009 5:25:52 PM
brett favre's consecutive streak for starting at QB won't be broken
4/10/2009 5:28:26 PM
^^bullshitplease enlighten us one which of those records could possibly be broken. I think the most likely to possibly be broken in Wilt's 100 points in a game. Other than that it's not happening.
4/10/2009 5:33:48 PM
4/10/2009 5:37:05 PM
^^Cal Ripken's consecutive games played: if Gehrig did it and Ripken did it, then surely somebody else could do it. It's just a matter of being good for a long-ass time and being lucky enough never to get injured. It could certainly happen.Chamberlain's 100 points in a game, as you said.I admit that on closer inspection all the others look pretty unassailable, although Nolan Ryan's could conceivably be broken.]
4/10/2009 5:38:09 PM
Ripken's won't be broken in our lifetimes in my opinionthe biggest reason...they test for amphetamines nowa late July day game after a night game just got ten times harder to get up for
4/10/2009 5:44:47 PM
how about Billy Ripken's FUCK FACE record
4/10/2009 5:45:12 PM
This is easy. There is one record that will NEVER EVER EVER be broken and it's in baseball.Johnny Vander Meer pitched two consecutive no hitters. I can say with 100% certainty that there will never be a pitcher in baseball history who breaks that by pitching three straight no hitters...
4/10/2009 5:54:23 PM
Leon Washington made a valiant effort
4/10/2009 5:54:31 PM
I doubt anyone in the NHL will score 50 in 50 anytime soon.

Longest Win Streak in NCAA WrestlingCael Sanderson - Iowa State. 159 straight matches, finishing his career 159-0. The 2nd place mark for consecutive wins? 117 set by Dan Gable who is imo the 2nd best collegiate wrestler of all time. So, needless to say, 159 straight is going to be hard to top.[Edited on April 10, 2009 at 6:05 PM. Reason : ]

4/10/2009 6:10:53 PM
Hank Aaron 755 - well, without help anyway
4/10/2009 6:17:51 PM
there are plenty of baseball pitching records that won't be broken, like most wins in a season...i think its 52...that simply wont happen nowadays with bullpen and relief pitchers, trying to preserve your arm, etc
4/10/2009 6:42:36 PM
I"m not convinced Hank Aaron didn't use at least amphetamines
4/10/2009 6:43:57 PM
My admittedly lazy attempt to substantiate it has proved fruitless, but in the Wendys in Boone, there is a banner from App. State that says their football was undefeated and unscored on. IDK if its ever been done since, but that is a pretty amazing stat.
4/10/2009 7:12:41 PM
there were prob several undefeated teams and unscored on teams back in the early days of ncaa football
4/10/2009 7:19:28 PM
Hence "Unbreakable"
4/10/2009 7:27:54 PM
another that will be hard to top, Richard Petty's 200 wins (Nascar)

Pistol Pete's college basketball scoring record. They talked about it on ESPN one time and in order to break it a player would need to score 14 three point baskets every game of their college career for 4 straight years.
