awesome movie. showed it to my Spanish 4 class that I teach. not exactly the most historically accurate, but still worthy of discussion. and truly epic.

well...I had their parents sign permission slips at the beginning of the semester, because we watch and analyze lots of movies. And I ended up fast forwarding tons of the movie anyway. I showed Pan's Labyrinth during the Spanish Civil War unit, and had to fast forward the glass bottle to the the face of course. I forgot about the leg amputation though lol.

This is definitely one of those movies where I feel bad for you if you didn't get to see it in the theater. The scene where they enter the Maya city is one of my top 5 alltime theatrical experiences.

^yeah, that was really well done with the transition from the forest to the cityit really lets you experience what it was like for them to see it for the first time
