The only way I know how to turn on images in firefox is to go to tools, options & then content & check the load images automatically option, which is checked. No idea what CSS is

just removed some cookies that I saw associated with those sites & hit 'clear now' under Offline Storage section (tools > options> advanced > network) & while it takes longer than usual for the pics to load, they are loading & the page is back to looking normal.

that happens to me sometimes using firefox on my mac. I usually quit the program and restart it and it fixes itself.

unrelated, but i've noticed FF crashing more lately. for no real obvious reason. not a major big deal, because i can always restore all tabs, but still slightly annoying.

now that i think about it, it seems to occur only on my Vista laptop. not my Linux machine or my XP box at work.so, maybe this belongs in the "why Vista sucks" thread.
