Duh, tried that. I am not good with code. Apparently is something wrong with a binary file? Whatever

^^that's a fucking stupid LMGTFY. This is a legitimate question without a simple answer. If you downloaded this from a website, my suggestion is to email someone and ask for a copy of the file via email. If you received this from someone, email them back with your corrupted copy and ask for it again.

No this is a file I created in microsoft word 2007, I didn't download it. I saved it last night before I closed it out, opened it up today and something got screwed in the coding process of the save (I guess), this has never happened before. It's slightly more complicated than just "I'll google that for ya" or "just open it in open office" Don't you think I tried do that already??? I'm not that great with code or computers, but I know how to navigate. However, this one is beyond me.

did you not read what i wrote?one of the great points of switching to an xml document format over a binary format is that in the event of data corruption, you're more likely to be able to salvage at least SOME of the file.]

^ no I read what you wrote and did that. No luck though.I do see this when I open it in note pad....[Content_Types].xml and then a bunch of jibberish.[Edited on March 8, 2009 at 3:44 AM. Reason : .]

somewhere in the open dialog box (in the open drop down maybe?) is a recovery option. try that.
